This was one of many stays at this resort. We always find the service and food excellent. Our room at the Lake View was ideal with a nice size balcony overlooking the adult only pool. A hotel / restaurant is only as good as its staff of course and we must mention a few names: Alexanda and May at check in and who helped with the bill were both very pleasant and very helpful. The manager of Republik, Sanjay (always a pleasure to speak with and I hope he gets his promotion!), Jivan and Christopher (bar tender) went beyond expectations. Cynthia and Sulis at the Sports Cafe - professional but friendly. Judy and Vicky at Captains. Yashika at Bibe. Lovely young lady. Martin at the beach (of course) who always looks after us so well. Thanks Martin. See you in May. The lifeguards at the adult only pool are so pleasant and attentive - even if no one's drowning. Sorry I didn't get their names. The staff at Vibe bar - very good. Sette - Aakash & Shakh gave great service and food excellent. White Orchid: Ganesh and Sachin looked after us very well and the food was excellent - as always. Denis and the team at Tamr Terrace also fab. Rizwan at 81 buffet breakfast was very informative and friendly. Our room attendant was brilliant! - very clean room and water replenished regularly. It is hard to cover everyone as this review would be pages long but I would like to mention the concierge guys and buggy drivers - thank you. If I have any gripes it is that when the hotels are at capacity the breakfast service gets a little chaotic and it would be great if the lock on the ladies toilet cubicle (4th one along) at La Fontana pool could be fixed...it's been over 2 years! When booking it is important to know that the Lake View offer two dining options for all inclusive. Ultra all inclusive and all inclusive buffet only. Make sure you book the one you want.

Amazing Lakeview hotel, everything was immaculate. You can use any of the 3 hotels which all have a different vibe about them. Each is easily accessible by the little buggies which take you around to each one, pick up and drop off. We had a pool view room which was lovely and bright with modern interior. The rooms have a mini fridge but nothing in them which is strange as when we tried to take drinks to our room but we wasn't aloud, and to order drinks to the room was chargeable. The Bars all serve different drinks as part of your All inclusive plus so you need to watch out for that otherwise they are charged to your room. No Daquaries included as part of All Inclusive which had been included in our previous visit and personally are a must in the heat. We only visited a couple of the a la carte restaurants whilst there but the Italian Sette was my favorite, the meal was delicious and the staff were amazing, especially Aakash he couldn't do enough for you. Overall a lovely hotel with brilliant staff.

Huge hotel (s) with so many things to do but all cost lots of money. Great food - selection of great restaurants but again you will be asked to pay extra money for some food and even drinks - even if you have an all inclusive plus package. People serving food and overall all staff are so kind and help full , they will always do their best to serve you in the best possible way. I am personally very disappointed with level of entertainment at 5 star really expensive hotel. All swimming pools no music at all. I was there 2 weeks and we just had a music once at one swimming pool on Saturday , just 3 hours but great combination of DJ and saxophone. It was great and must be done more often. There is no club to go listen the music and dance. Nothing like that at all. Also no evening theatre , shows or any other entertainment around hotel.. Roof top bar closed.All you can do is to have a drink (only by 11.30 pm at one bar) and eat. Nothing to do apart from that. That is a huge minus. That is good hotel for families but need to say that level of entertainment for kids is also very poor. Comparing to Rixos you can have much more for the same amount of money. That is my honest opinion . Also all inclusive plus is still not enough to eat Magnum Ice cream or have all drinks at pool bar. They will still ask you for extra money. Shocking. Lastly room minibar - all you will get is still water - yes. They will not give you sparkling water , small beer or any juice - forget it. I have asked to load my mini fridge on regular basis and they have refused that. You need to place separate orders everytime you want something , wait and pay. That is why in my opinion that is not a proper 5 star service as I had this as standard in many other hotels. I was expecting more here. We had great time but next time will choose something else or go back to Rixos, sorry.

A posh hotel, delicious food. Love that there is a separation between adult and family (with children) pools. The rooms have a cool solution with electronic buttons, a partition between the room and the bathroom. You can smoke on the balcony - it's rarer now. There are always free sunbeds (on the beach and by the pool). The nearest Mall is 20-30 minutes by free bus (from the hotel). There are Russian-speaking staff, everyone is happy to help. Firstly the good bits., the hotel is modern and clean and we had a 2 bed suite on the 4th floor which was large and impressive . The butler service included with this suite is great, especially Noble, Marilyn and David. They go above and beyond and will collect you and take you to the other hotels, which I my opinion you will need to do! The signature pool palm tree court is a haven compared to the pools/balcony at the lake hotel. The lake hotel is extremely corporate, with a very sterile feel. There are no bars that you can sit and have a drink in only the republic restaurant which has 4 tables with 4 bar stools if you are lucky enough to get one. The outside area was out of bounds due to a large party hiring the area for the whole week we were there. The roof top bar was also closed. The only other option was to sit in the lobby which had zero atmosphere. You waited more than half an hour to be served, usually having to find someone to serve you. Then we would wait usually a further 40 minutes for the drinks to arrive! They only had one bar in the buffet servicing the whole area, it was an absolute chore to get a drink. You cannot take a drink up to your room. You can only sit in one area of the lobby with alcohol and you cannot carry a drink out of the restaurant , you are stopped at every turn with constant rules. It didn’t feel like holiday it felt like being in school half of the time! The worst part of all is that if you spend the extra money on this large suite in order to enjoy some peaceful time on your large balcony or in your hot tub don’t bother! There is a racing track opposite the hotel and unless you love the sound of screeching tyres and the smell of fumes constantly you’ll be disappointed. The balcony is unusable! I even purchased ear plugs to try and block out the sound but it was still deafening. You can even hear the noise from inside the room with the doors shut and it’s all day/evening . The noise will give you a headache and the smell will make you nauseous.

A really lovely hotel with everything you need, I would say the best thing about this hotel is the staff! Everyone is so nice and friendly, and they were amazing with our kids. Bandana was particularly fantastic and friendly looking after us and our room, the kids loved the creations he did with the towels on their bed! Would highly recommend!

Roof top bar shut, not told at check in and neither is it on website. Travel agent no aware either. No bar to have pre or post dinner drinks in at lake view hotel. Very very disappointing.
Went to palm tree court to the beach, loads of building work going on so very noisy, went to go for lunch at palm tree court to be told restaurant is shut and go to beach hotel next door. Walked around to the beach hotel to be advised that the buffet restaurant is closed due to a large conference in the resort! 3 days!! And how and why did the man on reception in the hotel next door not know!!! Ridiculous!
No turn down service in the room during our 5 night stay
Never offered any nuts, snacks that are supposed to be included with any of our drinks
Had to ring reception daily as each day something had not been replaced when the room cleaned, water, towels, etc not a big deal but annoying to have to do it daily
There is a drag race track very close and the noise of cars being constantly raced and rallied is very very wearing. You can head in the the room with the doors shut, air con on and over the noise of the hair dryer!!!!!
By the adults only pool they have a marquee erected, they have pointed the multiple air conditioning outlets towards the pool. There is a constant noise of the fans. It’s also encroached on the pool area In said marquee there was a children’s entertainer it was so loud you couldn’t hear anything else. Even each other. Another guest went and complained. And it was turned down but it shouldn’t have happened. Not 5 star at all.
Everyone very helpful and polite but there is just not the finesse there.
I complained re the above. Management didn’t understand why this was an issue for us.
We go home tomorrow, this is the first time I’ve left the UAE not feeling sad and wanting to stay. This is a 4 star hotel and with 4 star service at best.

Visited JA Lake View for the second time with family who are all adults. We booked All Inclusive Limited and were very aware that this included the buffet restaurant 81 for all 3 meals and 25% discount is applied if you eat or drink in the other restaurants. The buffet is very large with good quality of food and lots of variation. I did however notice that for children, the choice was only chicken nuggets, chips or pasta. One area that I feel needs to be improved is that other than sitting in the buffet, there is nowhere on all inclusive limited where you can sit and enjoy a drink in the evening. You are therefore forced to buy drinks in Republik and as my daughter is not 21, we couldn’t even go inside the bar over at the Beach Hotel Vasco De Gama. This is a real issue and would force me to consider other hotels for our next visit. The hotel can be very busy especially at the weekend when lots of local residents visit the hotel. At weekend, young children were running around ringing room doorbells but reception did deal with this efficiently. The 2 pools at the Lake View are good and a lovely temperature. The pool cars are good and staff very friendly. The Vibe bar at the adult pool is great and the barman will help you carry if you ask. The rooms are very big and beds very comfortable. The cleaning of the room was very good but the balcony was not very clean and very sandy. To sum up, this hotel needs to consider a bar area where families can enjoy drinks in the evening as part of the package and one other area at lunchtime other than the 81 for lunch. The captain’s pizza restaurant is outdoor and far too hot to eat in summer months. Overall a very nice stay in a beautiful hotel but some changes do need to be made.

No, you dont need to book anything, just come, tell the room number to the staff and they will get you a table and you can eat everything. I think dinner was until eleven.

Hi. All inclusive just includes buffet 3 x a day. In some bars they give nuts etc and I think kids get ice lollies / ice creams in some outlets. We’ve only ever done all inc plus as it’s quite a trip back to Dubai or the malls for food. Ibn Battuta is nearest mall and the resort has a free bus.
There are more places to choose from in the Dubai area.
