Fantastic facilities, staff, cleanliness, food and pools Cannot fault this hotel for attention to detail The staff cannot said enough and are so friendly Plenty of food choice and it is good quality and hot
Our experience at Dubai Riu was nothing but perfect! "He"is in a new location in Dubai called Deira Islands and or sure in a couple of years will be a sensation in Dubai. Riu is always a perfect standard all inclusive resort with very welcoming and friendly staff. The hotel is "smelling desert"such as is band new! Front Ocean rooms are mandatory! Our room was absolutely perfect with a great view and nice shower. The front desk staff was great! Specialty dinning rooms were amazing and the Italian one had the best touch... Reminded me the Italian in Cancun at Riu Cancun. Pool area amazing and the bartenders were really well trained to make a perfect Mojito! The general dinning room had absolutely excellent choices each and every day! Everyone had a smile and as a professional traveller, hotel manager and travel agent, I didnt have any dissapointment of any AOI... Excellent! Thank you Luis for your hospitality! You were amazing! I will be back for sure.…
Lovely modern hotel on the outskirts of central Dubai and it’s right on the beach! Very easy to get into the city centre with a Careem Taxi, costing about £10. You do need a taxi to take you anywhere out the hotel as walking is not an option. The rooms are bigger than I was expecting and of a very good standard as the hotel is so new. The food was lovely, there was so much choice! I do hear people saying the buffet food was always the same but I can’t see how the hotel could of done more, I’d say there were 30+ different dishes every night plus tons of salads and pastas and desserts. All the staff were lovely and there were plenty of them too, so no long queue at the bar or to check in etc! If your after a mix between beach holiday and city exploration this is a great option and being 15 mins from town means it won’t break the bank like staying on the palm lol…
From our pick up at the airport to our departure. Everything was amazing , staff were all Fantastic , friendly, hardworking , and Respectful. Rose at the evening Buffet was Always on point she never missed a thing . We’ll be back next year thank you Rui Dubai x
We came here with mixed feeling as I have never stayed in Deira side of Dubai before but I was pleasantly surprised at the facilities and variety of food - it caters international cuisine. I had a problem with the room and it was immediately dealt with. Staff are its assets they are all amazing and go the extra mile. My sincere thanks go to Rama who was always very helpful and assisted my husband who had difficulty walking and always with a smile. Also Pem and some names I have forgotten was always helpful. I cannt forget Ashwin at the pool he makes the best cocktails, always cheerful and well mannered with all guests. Thank you to each and everyone for a great stay. Look forward to visiting Riu again.
Arrived early and our room was ready by 10am - check in is usually at 3pm. Check in was smooth and we were invited to have breakfast and use the amenities until our room was ready. You get free Wi-Fi for I device per person but can pay roughly £20 extra for 3 days Wi-Fi for 4 extra devices which is reasonable. Room was spacious with a double bed and a double sofa bed. Room was clean and had an amazing shower. You get the usual amenities toothbrushes soap shampoo conditioner etc. Hair dryer is in the drawer, there was no iron. Tea/coffee provided in the room with a free Mini bar which was filled every other day with soft drinks but if you needed more just request more via the Riu app, there was Coke, Coke Zero, sprite, tango, water, juice. We ordered extra pillows and blankets via the app and they arrived quickly. Sea view was beautiful and we had a balcony with table and 2 chairs. (Room 3078) Food: They cater for everyone! There was such a good selection.. Curries, Arabic food, Noodles, Grilled meat, Egg station, Pizza station, Chips, Pasta, Salad, selection of cheeses, carvery of lamb, chicken, duck, turkey, cold meat, Selection of different bread, soup, prawns, fish, and of course a selection of Desserts. The list of food is endless and they will cater for allergies as my son has numerous but found he could eat the majority of the food and the chefs would cook his food separately. The restaurant Spices (Asian) I felt was a let down - food was mediocre. A lot of people loved this place but being oriental myself sadly I left after 10 minutes as the dishes were bland and only a few oriental dishes on offer. The other food in there was potato wedges cold meats olives pickles cheese. The restaurant The Moon (Lebanese) was ok. It was very quiet and people wearing certain shorts (sports shorts) were turned away. The main restaurant (Al Andalus) was the best by far. My son was presented with a Happy Graduation cake which was a lovely gesture. You can book your reservations for Spices and The moon via the Riu App. All of the staff at the hotel in every department were amazing and are a credit to the hotel. The senior management should be proud. Everyone was very attentive and friendly and couldn’t do enough to ensure you enjoyed your stay. Pools: Each pool has a life guard. Pools are warm, there are 2 pools with pool bars and 1 pool without. There is another children’s pool with slides. No under 21s are allowed at the swim up pool bar, there is a rope dividing a quarter of the pool by the pool bar and anyone under 21 can not enter that area. My son is 20 (21 in 4 months) and had to wear a red child’s wristband which he was embarrassed about. He had to get out of the pool and walk around the back of the pool bar to get a drink. Whilst I appreciate the alcohol age limit of 21 the feedback I would give is to have an 18-20 year old coloured wristband as a child’s one is embarrassing and others we spoke to felt the same so they took them off and kept them in their pockets. Would be great to have an adult only pool but then anyone classed as an adult in the UK wouldn’t be allowed in it eg 20 year old if that makes sense! Pool was empty between 12-3pm which is the hottest time of the day. It reached 50deg with 100% humidity one day! Beach was empty and the sea was like a hot bath. Beach is sharp sand ( little bits of smashed shell) so wear your flip flops but it is very clean. Lots of sun beds around the pool and beach and even though they took loads of sun beds from the beach due to the low season there were still plenty available so no need to rush with your towel. They do an amazing chai masala tea in the pearl lobby bar. We didn’t watch the evening entertainment but there was always something on. There was always cream metered taxis available outside the hotel. It was 20 mins to the Dubai Mall BUT rush hour is awful!!! Lots of traffic and it is worse than the M25 so plan your day. Check out was smooth and easy. We had an early check out and the Breakfast hadn’t started but we could’ve gotten food in the sports bar if we wanted to as that is open until 06:30 I believe. Taxi to Dubai international airport was AED 70. There is nothing on Deira island just 2 hotels. There is Souk al Marfa nearby but we were told not to bother visiting it as there are hardly any stalls there. If paying by credit/debit card at the shops chose the Dirham option and not GBP as you get more for your £ this way. Download the Riu App and you can check in 7 days before arrival and it will show you everything you need to know. It’s a great app and easy to use. We will happily return as it was a lovely hotel with courteous staff and fabulous food. Thank you for your hospitality.…
Here into a 13 night stay, hotel clean, food good, staff amazing special thankyou to Partha bar man, exceptional service and very knowledgeable to hotel and Dubai in general, room cleaners very good,, just overall a great place to come, only downfall it's a little but out from main attractions in Dubai itself
Its the people working here who make the resort One should visit the sports bar!!! Specially if Mr Partha is on duty. Hes an excellent host… made us feel at home instantly. And he knows his drinks!!! Kudos PARTHA!!! U can find him at the sports bar from 5pm to 12:30am.
We had a wonderful stay in Riu Hotels & Resorts in Dubai last 21-22 June 2022 which we enjoyed the amenities, variety of foods and drinks..The room was neat, thanks to Bel & Bhupal. Thanks to Nyo for taking care with our check in and check out. It's also a memorable experience as it's my Husband's Birthday, which made extra special when the crew from Al-Andalus sang a Happy Birthday with cake for my husband, thanks to Mr.Mushin, Rey & Shukla and the rest of staffs who joined in singing and excellent service in Al Andalus. We had a sumptuous breakfast, lunch and dinner there too. Thanks also to Mr. Partha whose very accommodating and provided us cool cocktail drinks in Coral Pool Bar. We highly recommend Riu Hotels & Resorts.
Had a wonderful time! Staff was great and always greeted you. Everything was super clean and I had a comfortable stress free stay! The only negative was the food it was very underwhelming especially in the lounge bar it was almost horrible. Getting back from excursions with nothing to eat was discouraging.
