Billing itself as a 7* hotel, I had high expectations prior to arriving at this hotel. We booked a 2-bedroom suite, and while the experience was an interesting one, I would not return.
We arrived around 10pm to check-in to a scene: The lobby was packed with people in slinky dresses and super high heels taking selfies and reels. The presence of so many clubs is the explanation -- but not really the kind of scene you're into if you just arrived from an international flight. To make it worse, we had to sit in the lobby for 40 minutes while they tried to figure out the room situation, and then even when we were checked in, there was maintenance fixing the mini-fridge in the connecting room. Which meant our rooms were actually not ready for us until almost 2 hours past arrival (close to midnight), even though we checked in at 10pm!
Sleeping was impossible because of the extremely loud music that begins around 7pm each night and lasts until 2am. I had to use ear plugs every night. Even after requesting to switch rooms (they promised it was a "quiet room") I had to use ear plugs. My husband resorted to Ambien. DO NOT COME HERE if you enjoy sleeping. For a 7* hotel, they need to invest in better soundproofing.
The breakfast buffet was huge and covered a whole floor almost like a food hall, but super crowded (like masses of people, probably over 1000). While it was fun to see a gelato and candy bar at breakfast, the quality of the fruit was quite uneven. And you had to get your own beverages, which meant getting your own coffee from the barista and carrying it 10 min back to your table, by which time it was cold.
As we booked a suite we used the club lounge which was much better, which fantastic luxury food (caviar, etc) but of course that is limited to extremely expensive room categories.
Overall, we paid almost $5k/night for our family to not be able to sleep for 3 nights. Never again.

It is not without reason that Atlantis the Royal is one of the best hotels in the world. In my opinion, at least in Dubai, the Atlantis the Royal is the best hotel. We have been to Dubai many times and stayed in many different hotels, but never as luxurious as The Royal. Here you experience service like it is from another world and it will be difficult for us to experience comparable high-quality, friendly and courteous service in another country. This begins when you arrive, you are taken to the lobby by an employee and handed over to check-in, so to speak, a little small talk on the way, your luggage is discreetly taken away and prepared for transport to your room. The first wow factor upon entering the Royal Atlantis is truly unique, expansive luxury in a huge lobby with unique art, an aquarium, water-flowing elevators, an entryway with a waterfall and simultaneous fire fountains. Since our room wasn't ready yet, we were taken straight to the Royal Club Lounge and asked on the way whether the room should be higher or lower. In the Royal Club Lounge we received an equally warm welcome and every wish was read from the lips. Although we explored the entire hotel, we would particularly like to highlight the Royal Club Lounge and recommend that everyone book it. Food of a very high standard is served here all day long. The breakfast at The Gastronomy is incredibly huge, probably the largest we've ever had the pleasure of experiencing, but we value peace and privacy, which is why we prefer to have breakfast a la carte in the lounge. There is also a large selection of other dishes that change several times a day. The daily menu from 12-7 offers something for everyone and all meals were delicious. Dinner is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and for example oysters, lobster and salmon are served. Various alcoholic beverages such as wine and champagne are available free of charge all day long. The incredibly attentive staff ensure that the glass is never empty and make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Even my request for a drink that was unknown to the bartender was immediately fulfilled and left at the bar for future requests so that I could get “my” drink at any time and without explanation. We would particularly like to highlight the performance of Ahmed Ali, Rana, Amer, Rajiv and Jaypee. Thank you for the incredibly great service and the feeling of being something very special, you work at the highest possible level. When it comes to rooms, we recommend Royal Club and Palm View from the 10th floor. The rooms are very spacious and equipped with excellent materials. Depending on whether you like to sit on the balcony during the day, you should choose a different tower, otherwise it can get very hot in the sun. There are Sunset, Sunlight and Sunrise Tower. In the middle of the hotel is the Cloud 22 Infinity Pool with an incredible view of Dubai, various loungers and cabanas can be reserved here for a fee. Guests also have free access to Atlantis the Palm and Aquaventure Park. During the day there is a spectacular fountain show in the middle of Atlantis the Royal every hour, and in the evening even every half hour. From most restaurants you have a good view of the shows, which are accompanied by different pieces of music. The hotel itself has many beautiful art features and designer stores such as Dolce and Gabbana, Louis Vuitton and Valentino. So if you are planning to visit Dubai and want the best of the best, this is the place to be.

When we arrived at our room the staff showed us around and the rooms are stunning we had rooms overlooking the fountains which as lovely at night
Housekeeping turned down out beds and put sweets on the pillows and layed our slippers out The slippers and amenities in the room as super special We asked housekeeping to removed all the mini bar items so we could put our own drinks in this was done in an instant
We ate out at Malibu which was like American diner that was lovely
There is so much to take in , just stunning

No question: the hotel is absolutely spectacular. The last time we were in Dubai and the hotel was in shell construction, you could already guess that something extraordinary will be created here and all the reports from TV and from countless influencers confirmed our desire to book the Royal the next time we stay in Dubai. Accordingly, our anticipation and expectations were huge. For a hotel that calls itself "the most luxurious Resort in the world" rather confidently and somewhat generously, you automatically expect something extraordinary from the start. However, not that you spend 75 minutes at check-in (yes, we were "already" there at 2:15 pm - so too early) and then continue at 3:30 pm frustrated because no one at reception was able to find out when the room will be ready to move into. I find such a thing for "the most luxurious Resort in the world" simply poor. The little-learned "I'm very sorry" statements I've heard dozens of times don't help me. First impressions are ruined.
The second, and actually even bigger annoyance, is the pricing policy at the infinity pool "Cloud 22": that hotel guests have to pay admission (I think 245 AED was the "cheapest" option) is simply outrageous.
But there are also many positive things to report: The rooms, especially the bathrooms, are equipped with all sorts of "Firlefanz": golden comb and disposable razor; a bottle with uniquely created room scent; the house slippers are so thickly upholstered that you walk like on clouds; finally a hotel where an adapter is available for all sorts of outlets; every day there are small gifts such as fruit or chocolates, small bags with lip gloss and aftersun cream - all this is really done with a lot of attention to detail. Great compliment and thank you for that! Housekeeping was really like the "most luxurious Resort in the world": I've never seen, for example, the charging cables being wound up with a recyclable cable tie, or loosely lying notes being folded with a paper clip. Again, a very big compliment and even bigger thanks !
The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired - except the chaotic arrangement of the individual stations: Honey is e.g. in the fresh counter with cheese/sausage, juices are available in 2 different places; now everything is not too bad, but you spend a lot of time finding something. Unfortunately, this restaurant was closed in the evening - thus eliminating the only possibility to go to dinner "normally" in the evening (not every guest can only go to Michelin-starred restaurants every night).
The entire hotel is very elaborate and (except for the stupid XXL Monster Louis Vuitton dolls that lurk in many corners of the hotel) very tastefully decorated/equipped, again with great attention to detail and many surprising moments.
Conclusion: spectacular hotel with many Unpacked; belongs with the neighbouring Atlas and the Burj Al Arab to those hotels that you have to try in Dubai unburied; unfortunately not everything worked out for me, therefore only 3 out of 5 stars.

The disappointment is complete. This hotel isn't worth its money. The beach opposite the Naboo pool is not working had to sunbathe by the pool and walk in the heat to the sea. Every step needs to be booked and pools too, very uncomfortable. The design is ruined by Lui Vutton's ugly sculptures they are at every turn. The elevators in the lobby don't have a sign, you don't know which one's coming, and the doors close fast.
Every morning instead of a breakfast quest, the buffet is arranged not in order but like a maze with a bunch of nooks and crannies. And the tables next to the hand are standing. As a result, people rush across the halls with plates in front of your table. Made like a cheap food court. I didn't expect to see a food court in five stars. There are no bananas on display, you have to ask a waiter or cook to give them. I posted it. No potatoes, just pancakes.
Ling Ling restaurant about nothing. Light dim photo do not make menu meagre snacks/sushi and rolls alone.
Room - shower after shower smells like sewers, next to the bathroom the metal decor is sharp as a blade, you can cut yourself, I cut my hand to blood. Service is slow.
Cloud 22,pay-per-view, very small pool is a buy, not a pool, and they still charge money for it and big.
Shops on the first two floors. I never felt like I was living in a shopping mall at Dubai airport, not a hotel on the coast.
The good stuff. A lot of Russian-speaking staff. Pool Noby. And a lot of frangipani on the property. In-room tea, coffee, iron, need adapters for American outlets, have type-c, USB output for charging. Complete bath kit including salt, razor, shaving cream, toothbrushes good, perfume for interior

Disgusting service. Probably worse than Mevenpic. The occupation was exactly 1 hour. Forty minutes was the line, 20 minutes was my dialogue about available rooms. Started swearing at the front desk, raised his voice and immediately a miracle happened and a number was found... But where's the luggage? They were looking for him for another 15 minutes, I said I'd take him myself, because again I don't want to wait for the hotel staff. Booking a restaurant is a great quest, you'll be asked questions for 5 minutes, and then emailed a link to pay your deposit. Unfortunately, the link never came to me, I had to go to the reception again, 30 minutes queue and I am told that you do not have to pay anything at all, as I am a guest, and started the process of rebooking myself, which took 10 minutes at all. At this cost, resort hotels offer a personal manager who should handle these things. They asked me to bring a second blanket. 40 minutes later, the blanket came... Sent back for a blanket, came back another 30 minutes later with a blanket. On the buffet table, the waiters either don't speak English or don't know the menu. Moreover, the table is hardly cleaned, you need to call and point the finger. But even if you point the finger, only the dirty plates will be taken away. All the napkins, toothpicks, glasses will be on your table until you give them straight to the waiters. Tell me, which restaurant with a 400+AED check will you encounter? The room is made of fucking what and how. Grouted all over the tiles and glass in the toilet, stinks of toilet sewers, broken thermostat in the shower, clogged sink. All the mixers look like Chinese. Have we reported this? No, because we've already realized that nobody cares about what's going on in the hotel. Room cleaning at 4pm!!! I mean, we've already rested in the sun, had lunch, and no one's ever made it to the room. I want to remind you how they do in hotels with a similar price tag: it is fixed when guests leave the room and immediately go to clean in order to be back in time and not disturb guests. It was my birthday. You think the hotel even gave you a card? Of course not. Nobody cares about you.
Why hotels such as the intercontinental races rural khaima and fujairah, palm tree taj, fujairah address show impeccable service, cleanliness and quality for a much lower cost? It feels like paying for a stay in Atlantis just cheated you, because that's the kind of service you have to find. If you still think the service here is good, this is how we left: we gave the cards and asked for a refund of the deposit (naturally standing in line for 20 minutes), a woman of European appearance took the cards and asked how our accommodation went, we said not good, she made giggles and didn't even ask what happened.

We have just returned from our 8 night stay at Atlantis The Royal. This was the best hotel we have ever visited and exceeded all expectations.
Arriving at 9am the check in process was seamless. Our room was not ready but we was given a complimentary breakfast and our room was available shortly after this.
The room is amazing, it is very spacious with lots of amenities. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in with the best pillows and duvet. The TV had chrome cast which worked very well, unlike other hotels previously stayed in. The WiFi is great throughout the entire resort. Each night the turn down service provided you with a small gift including chocolates, lip balm, body soap, energising oil. This was a special touch to the hotel.
The gym facilities were very nice with a wide range of equipment and space for a workout.
We visited the royal pool most days during our trip, there was plenty of sunbeds and gave a peaceful environment regardless of this being a family pool. The beds were comfortable and the staff were attentive. The hotel provided free cans of still and sparkling water whilst at the pool which is brilliant.
We visited nobu by the beach on 2 occasions during the trip. This is the only adults only pool at the resort. Whilst the vibe is chilled for majority of the day, we found this to become more lively mid to late afternoon which is not our personal choice and we switched to the royal pool around this time.
The hotel provides a shuttle service between Atlantis the palm. The staff running the shuttle were extremely friendly and took an active interest into us and our stay. This service works great and we rarely waited over 5 minutes for the shuttle.
One area of improvement would be their approach to food allergies at gastronomy. I have a gluten allergy and there were a couple of items labelled incorrectly in the buffet, including two identical croissant in the bakery one labelled not containing gluten and one containing. A lot of the food contained gluten when it didnt need to, including the chocolate taps, the bacon and the sausages.
The overall service at the hotel is very personable and intimate which is surprising regarding the size of the hotel. All staff greet you by name and you are always asked if there is anything else they can do for you, with nothing being too much trouble. We will definitely be returning.

Hotel bomb! Rest is great! The room is clean, if you need to remove something, you press the button and the room is removed very quickly, even a few times a day if you need it. Special mention to the bartender JC, who works in the piano lounge bar, makes great cocktails, serves great, all the days that were always in a good mood, kept the conversation going, guessed which drink to make! Thank you!

We stayed as a family of 3 for a week at the end of September. The hotel is as amazing as we were led to believe from all the photos and videos we saw before we left. The stay wasn't without issues however. We were located on the 24th floor next to the restaurant 'Ling Ling'. At around 2am every morning the cleaners would enter the restaurant and proceed to move furniture around to enable them to clean thoroughly. This woke us up 3 nights out of the 6 we stayed. When we complained we were offered to change room but that meant we need to pack all our clothes but were assured it wouldn't happen again so we stayed where we were (we wished we just changed room). There was no mention of any sort of compensation regarding the repeated interruption during our stay however were offered something upon check out which we accepted. The staff throughout this process were very helpful and polite so cannot fault their professionalism.
The hotel itself is immaculately clean and absolutely stunning. There are staff on hand at every turn who are ready to assist any query and help in anyway they can. We ate most nights at Gastronomy and I cannot find fault, it was amazing. There aren't too many buffets that serve fresh lobster! The Sushi was beautiful as was the various roasted meats/salad bar and Pizzeria. We had upgraded to the Royal Club and were not disappointed. The cocktails were some of the best I've had and the staff were always on hand to help, they will make cocktails that weren't on the menu too. The strawberry daiquiris were incredible whilst my wife's favourite was the butcher! Afternoon tea is a must if you're in the royal club.
Onto the pool and once again the theme of helpful staff continued. One in particular stood out for us and that was Jesus, he never failed to brighten our day and his enthusiasm and smile shone through. He was very articulate and knowledgeable and really made a huge difference, he made us feel special.
Overall although we had issues we will no doubt be back. A wonderful experience and look forward to next time!

We arrived at the hotel after midnight and had to wait in line at reception. The lobby, with the charm of an airport terminal, made it immediately clear that we had landed in a mass accommodation facility. The first employee was overwhelmed and referred us to a colleague whose computer was broken. Checking in then took another 15 minutes... even though we had reserved and paid in advance, it was complicated and annoying. We were then accompanied to our room. The instructions there took a quarter of an hour. As with check-in, everything was time-consuming and complicated because the room technology is unnecessarily complicated. There was a tuft of hair on the floor in the shower, there was hair on the bed and one pillow had obviously not been remade and smelled of cheap men's perfume. The next morning we asked for the bed to be completely remade. In the evening between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. the doorbell rang exactly five times. I was asked five times if everything was OK... there is still some catching up to do with the staff allocation. The room was loud, as it was right on the large ring road of the Palm, but with a sea view. At 7:15 a.m. we were woken up by a petrol-powered garden tool, and passing trucks did the rest. In the evening we ate in the restaurant "La Mar". An ideal place for people who have nothing to say to each other. Loud club music accompanied by a percussionist who walked through the rows with her tin drum and stopped at the tables to drum against the already considerable noise level. Most of the guests were staring at their cell phones or shouting at each other. The waiters, who tried to explain the menu in a friendly manner, could not be heard or could only be heard partially because of the noise. But they were friendly and tried hard. The restaurant consists of a huge room with an open kitchen. The food was excellent... unfortunately a tuna starter tasted like an accelerant... something must have gone wrong in all the hustle and bustle. If you love eating at motorway service stations, this is the place for you and you will get your money's worth.
