I booked 7 nights at the Arabian Courtyard in February based on positive reviews and travelled with my wife and 4 year old daughter, we arrived on our first night at 2am exhaused from travelling to be told by reception staff that our room had been double booked and therefore alternative accomodation needed to be arranged (this I can see...

If you want a stay in Bur Dubai, this is good value for money in the expensive Dubai. To be honest we found the area itself a bit dodgy. Not really very nice, seems to be a very poor area of town. Anyway. It had kind of a charm as well. Over to the hotel. FANTASTIC staff. Everyone smiled and...

We had booked for an executive room in order to be able to access the executive lounge amenities. Upon arrival were given a room which was an adjoining room to a party of three men -when they were in their room every word and movement was clearly audible. Thankfully we had not yet unpacked and requested relocation, which was done,but...

Unlike the major hotel chains, hotels like this one offer up a "real" lodging experience. The staff are very service oriented and truly care about the guests. The hotel and rooms are clean. The decor is pleasing. The breakfast is varied and excellent. In addition, the hotel is located in historic "old Dubai", right across the street from the Dubai...

We were upgraded to an Executive Room upon arrival due to a problem with our booking on Travelocity. Staff was courteous and professional. We live in Abu Dhabi and so are used to 'arabesque' furnishings but appreciated the authenticity of our rooms and The Hotel. Our daughters took advantage of the spa portion of the Hotel and loved their facials...

The hotel offers a great alternative to the big name downtown hotels. The hotel and surrounding area have character and atmosphere which can be hard to find in other areas of this city. The service was very good.

I stayed here a little while ago and was overall pleased with my choice. As a 4 star hotel, this stacks up extremely well in terms of service and value. I also liked the location close to the Gold souk, although this can mean a lot of time travelling around. There are many nice touches such as the beach bags...

Not everyone will want to sit in the middle of the bling, shopping malls and concrete of New Dubai. If your preference is to walk to museums, the old textile market and a range of cheap eateries along Dubai's Creek, then this hotel is a good place to base yourself. It is 'westerner friendly', in terms of its facilities, but...

We stayed for the weekend again at this property. It is always such a pleasant stay. Clean rooms, lovely staff. We opt for the executive floor and access to the executive lounge. It's a nice breakfast, and it's much quieter then the main restaurant. The location is excellent for shopping, near the Creek, easy to get to all the malls.

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
