Owner is very friendly. We asked him for a room in the evening and this was no problem. Room was clean. Hot shower. The rooms are heathed during the night! This was our first night in Bolivia that we were actually warm at night! Okay its an old hotel but the matresses were good and it has history, like every...

I give this hotel a big plus for rescuing me when my intended hotel, the fancier Hotel Santa Teresa, denied my reservation at the last minute. This hotel was much more my style anyway...one of the oldest in the city, with a fabulous stained glass ceiling, cozy rooms, great views and even the typical squeaking wood floors. People who complain...

We had quite a good experience with this hotel. We stayed two nights in mid-April, as walk-ins after a problem with our expected accommodation, in a nice double room with private bathroom on top floor (altitude makes the steps a bit harder but we didn’t mind), which we chose after being shown several options. Good location close to the main...

The staff is not friendly at all. when we changed our room because of a very bad smelling bathroom, we asked for new towels. the staff said, that we have to move our old towels into the new room ourselves! the breakfast was very poor, old bread, always was something missing and it took a while until we finally got...

After getting sick because of the altiplano cold and the terrible experience of sleeping in La Casona Hostel (do not go there), I ended in El Turista. They changed my room after they saw that I was getting very sick, they sent me to the Red Cross with a taxi, I got my shots, came back and they sent somebody...

I don't know why lonely planet recommended this. Far better places to stay and for cheaper. This place needs major updating. My shower was leaking into the room, all the furniture doors etc rotting. Horrible atmosphere and breakfast was a joke. Avoid!!

Terrible bed with a big "hole" in the middle. We couldn't sleep at all. no windows in our room (no. 31) except blurred windows in the bathroom. Bad air in the room - even for Potosi. The water was either ice cold or boiling hot. They turned off the heat during the day. It is cold in Potosi even daytime....

it's a very nice place! the room was big, clean and warm and with a great view on the Cerro Rico. the staff is friendly and ready to give information about Potosì and Bolivia. Their laundry service is good and quick. Breakfast is included and it's good and abundant. Value for money: very good. It's one of the most comfortable...

We stayed in the "Hotel" beg of October 2011. The price was with 240 Bs completely ridiculous for what it delivered (unfortunately after reviewing two more hostels turned out that this seems to be common in Potosi). The service was unfriendly e.g., even though the hostel was obviously completely empty, the unfriendly host only wanted to show us one room...

This hotel has major plumbing issues. We couldn't flush the toilet and the shower always either had no hot water or no cold water. In addition this, the customer service was not helpful whatsoever. They didn't resolve the problem during our 2 night stay, and they would not give us a break on the bill. Also, they have the worst...
