Detailed Reviews
The location was in the center of town allowing for easy walking to the key sights. The main square is just 4 blocks away.
The hotel is small with attention to detail, the breakfast buffet did not leave any with open, the staff very attentive and ready to fulfill your wishes.

Spent two nights at the hotel which is located right in the old town Santa Cruz. Very close to Plaza 24 de Septiembre and Cathedral of Santa Cruz and also several markets where you can get cheap empanadas, cheese bread, local drinks and food and enjoy the atmosphere. The front desk manager was super nice and helpful and the breakfast in the morning is delicious! Rooms are nice and spaces with AC and fast WIFI. We had outdoor shower which was amazing!

Cosmopolitano Hotel is a small Boutique hotel with few rooms and personalized attention.
Its decoration is very warm and full of details. The room very comfortable, with a large bathroom and balcony.
It is in the center 3 blocks from the square. I felt very safe staying here.
Very good breakfast, served at the table. Included: coffee, bread, jam, eggs, yogurt, fruit and juice.
Right next door, there is a cafƩ that is part of the hotel, with a beautiful indoor terrace.
Fully recommended, if you want to explore the historic center of Santa Cruz.

This is a lovely hotel near the main square of SC, with a curious layout that is visually effective. The breakfast was the best I have had during my time travelling in South America so far. I was especially appreciate of staff recognising that it was my birthday during my visit, and for offering me a free drink from the bar as well as a box of chocolates as a gift. The rooms are of an excellent size and I enjoyed having a balcony. The area around the pool is very nice, and staff were accommodating in allowing me to use this one morning. It was a shame that due to the open roof, I was unable to use the pool on my final day due to the spectacular storm the night before (although this isnāt a criticism!). The staff also accommodated my ask for a slightly earlier breakfast on my last morning before I checked out for my flight. The bathrooms in the rooms are a good size, although do note that the hot tap needs to run for a while for any hot water to come through, by which point water has already covered most of the bathroom floor, which is effectively a wet room by design anyway. The only real criticism (which may be more of guests than the hotel), is that there was also quite a lot of noise/music coming from the entry foyer/pool area on my last night and into the early hours of the next day. Iām not sure if this was due to guests, staff or visitors. Either way, due to the open air layout of the hotel, sound travels more than usual. This was frustrating when I had to be up early for a flight the next morning, and I had been looking forward to getting good rest before then. This was a slight disappointment at the end of a great stay, but all in all, this doesnāt really take away too much from the time that I had at the hotel. This is a lovely hotel that I would happily use again.

It looks like a Boutique hotel scattering antiques between the lobby and the rooms but in fact it's a medium/good hotel that has known better times (judging by the rave review by Lonely Planet). In any case, given the location with respect to the center of Santa Cruz, it is definitely a advisable hotel, avoiding the two rooms one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor with an all-glass wall on the patio, because it is like being in the window. Breakfast not exciting. Well-functioning Wi-Fi throughout the property. Forgive her kind and effective in problems.

The hotel looks very well maintained, breakfast was good, coffee specialties were delicious, rooms were large.
Our room was right on the busy, noisy street. We were offered a "small upgrade" that was 100% more expensive than the room we had booked.
- We had to ask for water every day.
- Balcony furniture (see photos)
- Refrigerator in the room only reaches 18 degrees
- A receptionist was supposed to order a taxi to the airport for a fixed price (70 Bolivianos). A friend of his came and kept 100 Bolivianos at the airport.
Warning. Trust abused by hotel employee.

Boutique hotel virtually perfect for Covid-19. With this new world, look for no other hotel but Cosmopolitan Hotel Boutique. Given its size, it is the perfect place to live during your time in Santa Cruz - smaller hotel means less rooms, less people walking around = Covid-19 safe!
Clean, safe neighbourhood, fantastic breakfast, friendly staff, IG ready foyer, and seriously close to everything you will need. Everything is within a 2 min to 9 min walking distance. Access to taxis within an instant!

I don't think I've ever been in a hotel with kinder, more attentive service. The breakfast was just right - eggs, fresh fruit, bread, a yogurt parfait and fresh strawberry jam! There's an adjoining cafe that has great pastries, coffees, sandwiches and so forth. My tiny complaint is that there were no drawers or closets in my room. But I did have a lovely secluded balcony overlooking the street, and all the other amenities in the room were great.

Stayed one night before flying to La Paz. The hotel is new, beautiful, with high-quality renovation, a comfortable large bed and a spacious bathroom. Pets are allowed into the hotel (we were with a small Spitz puppy). Good and tasty breakfast (one of the best in 10 days in Bolivia). Located in the very center of the city, very convenient for walking.

Pros:
Close to the main square
Very stylish and modern rooms with comfortable beds, A/C, and two shower heads!
Good breakfast with excellent coffee
High speed WiFi
Helpful and attentive staff, they were able to accommodate a last minute late check out request.
Cons:
The check in process was not smooth as the hotel hosts a restaurant in its lobby and there is no check in desk. It is unclear when you step in where are you supposed to be. A dedicated hotel guest space would be recommended as there is also no room to wait with bags in middle of the restaurant
The pool is nice but the location is not great. It is located at the lobby level where the restaurant patrons are seated.
