We have always been to this lovely hotel, and used it as a getaway. We live in Santa Cruz and when stress levels are high, we used to go to Los Cedros. The rooms are lovely, the view spectacular, the food and service are okay. It's pretty quiet, so it's a great place to sleep in late and have room service. The only problem was and is the stairs that take you from the pools down to the game room. They are horrible and extremely dangerous. We never used them....until this year. As we arrived, we decided to check out the game room. On my way down the steep steps, with nothing to hang on to, I fell.... and rolled down the whole flight of 20 or so stairs. Needless to say, I yelled, as my husband watched from above. Hotel staff appeared, but there was no doctor, contrary to what the hotel website says. No matter, my husband and I are both doctors, so he ended up tending to my multiple wounds, and my broken arm.
Those stairs are dangerous and the hotel has done nothing about them. So, although it is a nice place, you don't want to fall or get sick there, as there is no medical help and the ambulance takes 30 minutes to arrive.
Please be careful.

We stay for one weekend in Los Cedros close to Santa Cruz in Bolivia. The location is fantastic and you are in nature heaven. The place is full of vegetation, birds, butterflies, iguanas, etc you can breathe a pure fresh air and get a lot of good energy. The food is not that bad but the services and management is very poor, also the condominiums don’t have the windows with screen so you can’t open the windows at night because you get all the bugs in. There is air conditioning in the rooms but not in the dinning room and you can’t open the window so to do activities in the evening you have to suffer in the heat.

I'm not much fond of hotels in "the jungle", but besides this the hotel doesn't have the quality nor customer service for its star rating and price point. It needs to improve in room cleanness, food quaility, personnel presentation and service.

I spent two days and two nights at Los Cedros and it seemed like eternity because it was such a peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. When you enter the resort you have no idea what to expect. And then, at the end of the long driveway, the hidden paradise suddenly appears. The cabañas have lovely lively colours, the hotelrooms are very comfortable with a terrace. I enjoyed the 5 pools, the Sunday lunch buffet and much more. But especially the wonderful nature and the birds serenading me. Staff were always happy to assist and seemed to work with pleasure.

During our trip to Bolivia, we stayed one night (4/16/`4) at Los Cedros. We checked in around 7pm, our room was NOT clean, sheets had stains, bathroom was dirty, BUT we didn't complain. Within minutes our youngest starts complaining about bug bytes and we immediately started to check the beds for bed bugs! After removing all the sheets, we found ticks and requested a new room. It took them over an hour to finds us a room, eventhough the resort was empty! We got a room with 2 twin size beds (mind you we are a family of 4 which we paid extra for) and the AC was not working. There was no urgency from the staff to accomodate us as if this is a common request/issue. The following morning, we asked to speak to the General Manager, Pedro Vacadias, it took 4 hours to get a hold of him. When he finally came to meet with us, he was arrogant, and started telling us that we should know better, we were staying in a resort in the middle of the woods and he shared his own bug bites on his arms! He was only giving us excuses, he was not listening to anything we had to say, after 20 minutes he told us that he needed to confirm our story and hear it from his Front Desk Manager, Marcos. We were not ABLE to get anywhere w/ them. We decided to ignore it and enjoy the rest of the day, we headed to the pool which was DIRTY and after asking their staff 6 different times, the pool was NEVER cleaned. Their customer services is horrible and the resort is not equipped or managed to be a FIVE star resort. I shared with him that our complaint was very similar to the ones that have been posted online, and we were giving him a chance to make it "right" so later on we don't want to read a comment from his staff apologizing about our poor experience and how they will offer to make it right. He had the opportunity to correct this issue and he decided to be RUDE and arrogant. There is nothing wrong paying top dollars for good service but here they will take your money and there is NO customer service whatsover. Overall this resort is not even near a FIVE star resort. DO NOT GO and waste your money. You are better off staying in a tent in the middle of the woods.

When we drove up to this place and I saw it has 5 stars - I was giddy with anticipation. But....when we walked into the lobby, I could see this place was not going to be as advertised. There are three clocks in the lobby - one shows Bolivia time, one shows Madrid time and one shows Sao Paulo time. Only the Bolivia clock worked. There are 2 chandeliers above the check-in desk. Neither was lit, and one of them had all of the light bulbs removed. And in the lobby, the majority of lights were either not turned on and/or not working completely. And this seems to be a large resort (spread out), but when we arrived with approx 30 people - there were only 2 people to check in all of us. So that took about an hour. Then they wanted to keep my Passport overnight at the desk - I told them absolutely not. They kept all the I.D.s of the Bolivians overnight - I have no idea why they would do this. Now the worst part - the room. Or cabin would be a better description. It had a small kitchen and sitting area and then 3 small bedrooms with 2 tiny twin beds in each room and 1 bathroom for all 6 people. The sitting room had a TV (bedrooms did not) and the sitting room had 4 rattan chairs (which were not comfortable) and 2 wooden chairs from the kitchen area. I think people in prison might have nicer furniture. The beds were tiny and not comfortable. No box springs - just one tiny mattress. And the room had mold/mildew in it, as did the hallway and bathroom. I ended up having respiratory issues for a week after staying there for just one night. And there was nothing else in the bedrooms. No TV - nothing. Now - the absolute worst part of the room/cabin - the bathroom. First of all - one bathroom is not sufficient for 6 people. But the kicker was that the toilet was leaking water onto the bathroom floor, so it was always wet. So it you needed to use the toilet - you had to put on shoes - or your feet would be standing in "who-knows-what" water on the floor. Then you would inevitably track water back to the bedroom (or living room) after using the bathroom. So gross!!! There was also no walkway to our cabin and the trees/shrubs were so overgrown that we had to duck underneath some limbs in order to get to the cabin. This place is in drastic need of many updates and repairs and landscaping, etc. I wouldn't know where to begin if I were in Management. It's a mess. And this 5 star rating must have been self-proclaimed, because this place would not warrant a 1-star rating if it were in the U.S.

The worst eco resort I have ever been. Quality/price = 1 star
I am from Bolivia and I am ashamed about this place , it looks like a 2 stars hotel
-the food is horrible
-the place is dirty
-they never have towels in the pool (And when you ask is like asking for money to them)
-the pool is dirty
-receptionist is always in bad humor
-minibar is empty ( and you have to make a deposit in case you drink everything )
- They treat people like stealers ( you can't even steal , because they don't have towels in case you want to steal )
-They told us the price included 4 days and 3 nights , when we came back to pay , they told us it was 2 nights 3 days

For the same price I could have go to Amboro , guembe , etc ..

We spent the day here with some friends who were staying at the hotel. It's reasonably proced for a lunch buffet and access to their amenities.
Sunday buffet was very mediocre at El Bato. We arrived at 1:30 and many dishes at the buffet were empty already.
The surrounding and views are breathtaking from the hotel.
Pools are small, but clean and adequate. It does get very crowded on weekends and some people can be a bit noisy and rude.
I saw the rooms and they're definitely not 5 starts, but are adequate.
Would return with the family.

We had a party of twelve that rented a cottage and had a great time. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed for cooking and or barbequing. The bedrooms all had a/c and the beds were comfortable enough for everyone. So much to see and do you can spend an entire weekend without taking in all Los Cedros has to offer.

Let's start by saying that there was no signal in the cabins and the most important thing is that the entire hotel has Wi-Fi, not just in the reception or in the pool area, but also because the cabins are very far from the dining area and more. and you have to be on the move with a car and it is not very pleasant because it is uncomfortable and sometimes very burdensome, to make matters worse there was only one air conditioner in only one room and the best thing would be for it to be in all of them, that is not enough They wanted to hold us responsible for a chair in poor condition that when we arrived was already in poor condition, they blamed us for seeing it broken and they wanted us to pay 50 pesos for it.👎
