The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The people who work here are top notch and very kind. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each day as well! We didn’t have any issues and the rooms were cleaned each day. Thank you! We plan to return next time we’re in Santa Cruz.

I would like to start that this hotel claims to be a 5 star hotel. Though the hotel has many amenities, hot water, pool, restaurant, elevator and it's clean (many of these things I was not expecting to have for the price of the room per night) it is by no means a 5 star hotel on an international scale. I would say what you pay for is very good (and is why i'm giving it a 4 star rating). The staff are very kind and helpful with very at times difficult clientele. However, when it comes to the prices of their bottles of wine, i would suggest that you get the cost in writing first. Breakfast buffet was good. Rooms were large, but bathroom poorly ventilated with mold. We could also smell when someone was smoking out on the patio by the pool at night. I'm not sure how that happened, but it did each night. I would stay there again. It was a good night's sleep in a central location of the city.

Santa Cruz is not a nice city to visit. There are not beautiful places to see (like in Potosí or Sucre). So if you don´t have to come here, stay away from this place.

The Best Western is a just 3 Star hotel, centrally located, walking distance to the main Plaza. Rooms are big, Cable TV, comfortable bed, A/C. Just the average thing, nothing special at all.

The price is OK, 60 USD a night (Travelocity), the staff is friendly and helpful.

American Airlines put me up in this hotel overnight after the plane broke down. I'd say it was a nightmare, but you have to be asleep for those to happen.

Check-in and the restaurant were both terrible. The front desk told me it would be five minutes before I could get a room. So, I went next door to the hotel restaurant, whose sole employee took an hour just to take my order. At that time, I returned to the front desk to ask about my room, whereupon I was told it would be another ten minutes. Sometime after I turned gray, my room finally became available.

The room was FILTHY! When I opened the mini-bar fridge, a roach crawled out to chase the spiders that were wandering around the floor. Before I could step into the shower in the morning, I had to wash the dead bugs down the drain. There was no way I could get any sleep overnight since I was keeping a wary eye out for roaches while listening to the next-door car alarm sound off every 15 minutes. Stay away!

This probably has been a 5 stars, maybe in the 70's, so without any 'spirit' like during these old years.
I spent only one night there being happy to find it in the middle of the night.
Except this old look, the service was good, with nice people, the reception understanding english and the room very large with three double windows, the king size bed was looking so small.
Wifi connections, with a very good one at the restaurant that allowed me to quickly download the necessary Google maps i needed.
Calm and service make it good for Business Trip. AMEX accepted.

Stayed here one night during a work trip. Would not call this a 5 start hotel. Upside - large rooms and good internet. Downside - very old rooms and gym, very little charm, so so location. (10 minute walk from main plaza.) Staff was not particularly warm or helpful for a first time visitor. Would not stay here again.

I went to Santa Cruz to visit my family and didnt want to stay as a guest in their house.. So I booked my stay in House Inn for 1 week..
To start, I arrived at 2 am and ALL the lights inside the hotel was turned off... the people who works there are extremely nice..So i give 5 rating to customer service..
i give a 1rating to house keeping .. they need training !!!
The bathroom was full of hairs everywhere.. it smelled terrible. toilet didnt looks clean at all... the room floor was not moped or vacuum..the towels looked really old.. and I didn't use their towels or bed the 1st night because it didnt look clean..

Next morning, the house keeper was cleaning my room and I saw they had nice white towels in there .. I asked her if she could put some of those towels in my room and not the old dirty towels.. she said those towels were for the other rooms, she said I was paying for a basic room.. So i went to the market and bought some new towels for myself.. when i got back. my bathroom didnt look or smell clean... I dont even think she moped the tile floor... and i left her tips!

I didnt have any other problem. the pool was clean, the lobby was clean, the breakfast was ok ..
Location is great, very quiet, clean and everything is walking distance..... and again service was excellent..! But its not a 5 star Hotel as advertise.. but more like a 3 star...

Not a 5star as they advertise, more like a 3 star. Rooms are very nice and spacious and clean. Restaurant food is not great. From my research one of the better hotels in Santa Cruz.

They claim to be a 5 Star Hotel but not even close!! more a 3 or even 2 star.. Just because they have a pool and a gym.. I spent two nights in this Hotel and I can tell you it's not good.. The bedroom it was SO OLD.. with a smell of old wood you know? there was mold all over the bathroom's ceiling, broken door knobs.. The breakfast is poor with so few options and dry bread.. It's ok for a 2 star, maybe a 3 star hotel, but not for a 5 star.. The good thing is that is very quiet and people are nice.. My rating is most because of it's title of 5 Star.. Lot's of improvements needed.. But I saw that they are working on this Mold issue, but please, put people in the rooms already fixed..
