Stayed at the lodge during a tour. First time sleeping in upmarket tents, which was enjoyable and different. All meals very good, but the outstanding feature is the wildlife experience at dinner time . Very caring hosts. Well worth the visit.

This was my favorite of four very good game park lodges in southern Africa. The rooms (essentially well-appointed tent-cabins), the food, the staff, the facility are all superb. The guides that took us on daily game drives into Chobe were knowledgeable and adventurous. But what makes this place truly magical is that the outdoor dining area overlooks a watering hole...

We began our Botswana experience here. The 'tent' accommodation is far more than just a tent as there is essentially a very large bed surrounded by a mosquito net, with a bathroom behind. Greg and Paula were very welcoming and Simon was an excellent guide. Our first 'drive' was a boat trip which was fabulous - lots of elephants drinking...

My stay @ Elephant Valley Lodge proved a pleasant and wonderful experience thanks to the friendly and attentive service by management, staff and guides at all times and frankly nothing was ever too much. They even laid on a leopard sighting for me on the last day of my stay, something that was on my shopping list! Of course having...

Our family of 5 just returned from a vacation stay at Elephant Valley Lodge. Our experience was excellent. Upon arrival we were greeted by Paula and Greg. They were gracious and professional in every way. The game drive was awesome and everything we needed and then some was provided. The food was delicious! We were very pleased with the hosts...

Before I went on this holiday I was nervous about being in a tent. On arriving at this camp my fears disappeared. The 'tent' was luxurious for canvas. You are protected from the animals visiting the waterhole by an electric fence. So all the loud roaring , snorting and howling comes from the other side of the fence. The environs...

We cannot speak more highly of this wonderful lodge in beautiful Chobe run by Paula and Greg, and supported by excellent guides and all other staff. 10 out of 10 for everyone! We found the location to be perfect, the public areas delightful and fell in love with our first experience of luxury 'tent' accommodation. We asked for recipes of...

We loved Elephant Valley Lodge. Both the spacious rooms and public areas were comfortable and charming, and our manger hosts were delightful, hospitable and personable. And the animals in Chobe Park were just astonishing - the abundance and variety were beyond our expectations, and the wide vistas gloriously beautiful. Our guide KB was excellent - when he learned a lion...

Elephant Valley Lodge - a fantastic hidden jem among the elephants. The valley is laid out right before your eyes and a wonderful place to sit and watch the wildlife pass directly by during your meals. The staff were absolutely amazing - everyone! From Kristine, Florin, Paula and Greg to KB, our guide and driver/spotter/boat captain extraodinaire, and all the...

We really enjoyed our time at elephant valley lodge. The managers are awesome! Always there to chat with you, staff was fantastic! Food was great! I really loved the free laundry service especially after travelling for a while and needing clean cloths (we did tip lady well). Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are situated in the Lesoma Valley (corridor between Chobe National Park and Wangi National Park). All year round waterhole in front of lodge that has daily visitations of all game including BIG 4. We are far enough away from villages and towns to enjoy the natural sounds of the bush (lions roaring, hyenas calling and elephants trumpeting). We have 24 hour electrical power, with fans and electric blankets (winter only) plus the whole property is secured by a perimeter electrical fence to keep out dangerous animals. We are 30 minutes from an International Airport (Kasane)and 30 minutes from a Medical Center. ... more   less
