We tried all the usual suspects in Kasane Town and everyone was fully booked for camping. Lonely Planet didn't indicate that Kubu Lodge did camping but a wooden sign under the main sign for the lodge prompted us to explore. A good result 7-8 Camping...More
We had campsite 1 for 2 nights, nice place near the river. The facilities (toilet, shower, dishwashing place) were clean, always with hot water. Electricity is available on campsite 2 and 5, others need an 10-15m extension cord. Boatcruise was great, saw a lot. There...More
We were welcomed by friendly staff and a lush garden. The turnoff to Kubu lodge seemed to be in a dodgy area, but the scenery upon arrival changed the feeling. It is a nice tranquil lodge on the river bank with its own restaurant and...More
Excellent service, good food and beautifully decorated chalets. Nice hot water and a really lovely and peaceful setting. Not far from Chobe, it has everything you need. We also did a boat trip through them which was really nice- a small boat so it felt...More

Hi Wendy. I presume you want to stay here to visit Chobe NP. I found Chobe a bit disappointing as it was so busy - had a few good animal sights, mainly on the river cruise - but too many boats and vehicles on the land tour (morning). Mind you, some of our group did the evening land tour and there weren't many people and they had some good sightings. We stayed two nights and that was plenty.
I haven't been to Moremi or Savuti but did visit Kruger, Etosha and Makgadigadi on my recent trip and enjoyed these much more than Chobe.
Re the accommodation, we stayed in a lodge at Kubu for one night rather than camping (just a stopover on our way back from Maun and the Makgadigadi Pans which were fantastic - both salt pans and NP are highly recommended). There were some tours organised from here but we didn't do any as we were returning to the area in a few days with a safari group and stayed closer to the NP at Chobe Safari Lodge - there is camping there right by the river which looked quite nice.
