We had initially booked at another hotel, but on arriving were told that reservations had messed up and there were no rooms available. So the manager has booked us into Dara Reang Sey. Dara was much farther than the city centre, however our woes had just started. The rooms we were given had no curtains, the 'blanket' was a towel,...

When I first came here, the look of the place seems nice, even through the lobby. Yet, as night passed by, I could finally see what's so bad about the place. First, was the unfriendly and unsmiling employees. Even if you greet them with a smile, they would greet you with a frown. Unhelpful, as well. During the nights, sometimes...

My girlfriend and I had reserved a room at Dara Rean Sey for 7 nights; we spent one night there before moving to another establishment. Here's why: 1) Location: What we were unaware of before arriving was how far the hotel is located from the centre of Siem Reap; it's a good 5-10 minute tuk tuk drive from the town...

best value for money. good location, service, the room is not too dirty. you'll hear the faint sound of motorcycles, trucks almost all night. but it is Asia. in any ordinary hotel, and even at 5 star hotel will be. Asians simply do not care. but in the morning you get a cup of fantastic coffee from cafe located opposite....

Stayed here for a week for a conference. Conference attendees were from poor areas and worked in children's education centres. I was with a team of six Australians who were there to help them. The staff at this hotel treated us almost like we were unwelcome guests. There was no respect shown and customer service was minimal. They ran out...

We went here for my aunt's business meeting, and were VERY unimpressed. There was dirt and small trash along almost every wall. The elevator looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month (it was easy to see handprints against the stainless steel). We got to our room, tried to ignore the dust, but then saw the shower curtain heavily...

The room is big, the price is acceptable. However, there are more than 4 times sudden electricity stoppage within 2 days!!! daytime & night time. imagine when you are bathing, all the lights goes out suddenly. and, when you are sleeping, the air con stops suddenly... it is not an isolated event, more than 4 times during my stay.

Stayed in this hotel for a total of 3nights stay & it was pleasant enough. Huge room, clean & comfy bed. Location of the hotel is a bit out from the main city but it is easily accesible by "TUK TUK" = local taxi. Breakfast served is fine & I would rate my overall staying experience as pleasant & comfortable

I really don't want to be negative about this hotel because it has the makings of being so much better than it currently is. The front house staff are very good at what they do and are extremely attentive if not overbearing in trying to sell you a service. That said we were in a great room that was like...

I travelled to Cambodia on a business trip recently. Siem Reap was also in my itinerary. The inviting company made my reservation in Dara Reang Sey Hotel. Very nice exterior, gives a heritage kind of feel. But once you are inside, it was all modern. Rooms are pretty big. I was staying in Standard room but it felt like I...

“Beds are rock hard. The service phone outside my room rang at all hours of the day and night. Aircon was very good though. I was on second floor. Lifts work well and the stairs are easy to climb.”
