I was very excited for Hariharalaya and I did have high expectations already but they were far surpassed. Firstly, the location and accommodation are wonderful. The retreat is situated within a beautifully, calm traditional Cambodian village which are great for walking around, and the retreat itself is very well designed and aesthetically very, very pleasing. The approach they take to... More

So before setting out on my first yoga retreat I carried out quite a lot of research on many retreats around the area and came across this place which by its reviews seemed like the perfect choice. Surely a retreat with so many positive reviews must be amazing...and it was more than that !! The location, the surroundings, the staff,... More

Having never done yoga and meditation before I didn't really have any expectations. We had such a warm welcome from all the teachers and Khmer staff. There was a great sense of community from the start. The yoga classes were tailored to suit all levels. The teachers were so helpful and friendly, always around to answer questions or just have... Hariharalaya is a beautiful place where you can find your inner peace and start your spiritual journey. There is lots of yoga, meditation classes and different fun activities during the day. Yoga is at basic level so everyone can follow it and continue the practice after the retreat is finished. Those with the established practice will be encouraged to do... More

I heard about this retreat through someone I met in Bangkok, and booked it mainly because exercise, vegan food and getting an insight into meditation appealed to me. It turns out that I got a lot more out of it than that. I thought that they would teach us a strict practice but it wasn't like that at all; I... More

I have just finished a retreat at Hariharalaya and I almost have no words to describe how incredible it was. Unplugged, no shoes, no judgements, great food, INTENSE dancing, laughter, tears, hugs, friendships... a heart full of love for the people that I have met and the experience I have been through. Just go... seriously!

This was a beautiful place with an amazing vibe fantastic food and deep profound life affirming joy. The meditation and yoga was great. The best thing about it though was the magical environment that surrounds this place. Joel the owner is an enlightened dude and all the staff are super lovely and talkative. If your debating wether or not to... More

during our travels we were searching for a "time out" to focus on ourselves through yoga & meditation in a relaxed, typical cambodian and spiritual environment. and we found hariharalaya! wonderful place runned by smiling & warm hearted people. the yoga lessons are very basic (beginner level) and easy to continue on your own after the retreat. all yoga teachers... Hariharalaya is a truly magical place set in an isolated, rural Cambodian-like jungle. The retreat is completely shaded by giant green trees, which sunlight just streams through all day long. I can't recommend this place enough. It brings people together and is utterly inspiring. Every meal was my favorite meal - so many fresh fruits and vegetables, chocolate sauce, palm... More
