I booked this hotel after a LOT of reasearch about Siem Reap. Cambodia, especially Siem Reap, does not have the infrastructure to support the number of tourists it gets, but it also relies on tourism econmically. This is a catch-22 for tourists who want to come to see the temples of Angkor but don't want to leave a bunch of plastic water bottles behind. Baby Elephant does everything it can to support the staff, pay them a fair wage, help them to take out loans to go to school or buy a home, train them to learn English and hospitality skills. They don't use single-use plastic. I could go on and on but if you look at their website you can see their commitment to ethical tourism. They have water coolers everywhere so you can refill your bottle and not use plastic.

At the same time, they are luxurious, offering spa services, cooking classes, and a delightful pool to swim in after a day vising the temples. Their staff are lovely, and the resident dogs (all adopted strays) are sweet. The food and beverages at the bar/restaurant are delicious. They arranged all the tours for us, and there was free airport pickup. The room was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. So you can have it all! I highly recommend Baby Elephant and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Siem Reap.

Wow! I absolutely loved this place. I had hurt my ankle and was looking for some rest and relaxation and this place offered exactly that. The setting is so gorgeous and thoughtful - I loved all the quirky decorations throughout the hotel and all the greenery of the lush plants. The rooms were perfect - the bed was super comfortable, fashionably decorated and had everything I needed. I loved all the little personal touches they had and it was great to use some good quality eco friendly shower and soap products, The staff are so kind and welcoming. I’m vegan and every day they made me the most delicious cashew nut milk for my coffee and muesli. I can not recommend this gorgeous place enough. I’d give it 100 stars if I could :-)

The staff were lovely and so helpful, and the pool was beautiful and perfect for happy hour delicious cocktails at the end of the day after visiting temples. Highly recommend you stay here, it's a fantastic deal and you can access any tour, spa service, or other activities you want. The free breakfast each morning is also amazing value for the money, and we had a few meals there over the few days we stayed, each one delicious. Lots of vegetarian/vegan friendly options too!

We stayed at this hotel on a recommendation from a friend and were not disappointed.

Really pleasant vibe to the place, overseen by the owner Ilana who couldn't have been more welcoming.

We stayed in the very reasonably priced West Wing which is next door to the more expensive and more luxurious East Wing.

The room had all the basics, great a/c, comfortable bed, fridge, hand held shower, and we only wanted the room for somewhere to sleep.

However, we had access to all facilities of the East Wing such as pool, restaurant with 75 different choices, excellent wifi.

Breakfast was included in our deal , and there were 12 choices! A mixture of western such as Eggs Benedict, and Asian, my favourite being Chicken Cambodian Noodles.

We ate at the restaurant which had a very extensive menu of 75 choices. My favourite dish was the delicious Beef Lok Lak.

The bar again had an extensive choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. My partner recommended the gin based Ginger Roger's, and I loved the banana smoothies.

My partner raved about the onsite massage going the best ever. The hotel also organizes cookery demonstrations and yoga classes but we didn't try these ourselves.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, and can arrange tuk tuks into town or trips to the Angkor temples.

If you want a chilled out relaxing holiday, but also be in the centre of Siam Reap, this is the place for you.

Baby Elephant is my go-to boutique hotel whenever I need to treat myself to a weekend of relaxation. I especially love the lush greenery and comfy seating poolside, which is perfect for a dip in between getting some work done at the laptop. A good range of dishes available on their menu, along with great juices and a fantastic cocktail list. Fantastically comfortable bed and a spacious room with all the right amenities (love the robes!). Also, the place is entirely eco-friendly (one of the first places in town to do so) and you can tell they are really trying their best to deliver the best experience for everyone who visits. Love this place.

We had a fantastic experience at Baby Elephant Boutique Hotel. It was our first time visiting Siem Reap and we greatly valued the help organising tours, guides and transport. After a long days of exploring temples, markets and fish masseurs, there was really no better wind down than to relax in the pool with a delicious and extremely competitively priced cocktail. We were also very grateful for the cool and spacious rooms. The breakfast service was also particularly lovely!

Baby Elephant is a charming and well run hotel located within walking distance of busy downtown Siem Reap but far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing. Miss Kim and her team could not do more for our every whim. Arranging bookings and transport (we took Tuk Tuks everywhere when not walking) was efficient and effortless. As a base for exploring the temples it was marvelous. We used Adam (tel +855 97775 5346) as our Tuk Tuk driver and guide for 3 days and have no hesitation in recommending him. We had spent 3 hrs in the museum on our first day swatting up on the Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom history and mythology. Adam then brought it alive for us - whilst not a licenced guide, his all round knowledge and very good English make him a worthy guide.
Enjoy!

After the culture shock of my first arrival in Siem Reap, I am embraced immediately by the tranquility and harmony of Baby Elephant Boutique Hotel. The eager friendliness of the staff coupled with their immense local knowledge made this trip so easy and relaxed. From making bookings for local atractions such as Phare Circus to organising one of the most amazing massages I have ever had, this place can do it all! The menu is enormous so you can never be bored. Coming back from a tiring day at Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Banteay Srey, the Apopo Landmine Rats, the Butterfly Centre or the National Museum there is nothing better than diving into that pool to cool down then top it off with a cool drink. It is within a short tuk tuk ride to the Old Market, Pub Street and all the local night spots as well as the many and varied restaurants and cafes. We are already planning our return trip next year and will, of course, be staying at Baby Elephant!

I stayed at Baby Elephant as part of a yoga retreat. Everything was absolutely perfect. They have a large menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with food options for everyone. Everything I ordered was delicious, the vegan French toast, fresh fruit, and tofu amok were my favorite. They have a Beautiful outdoor area with pool and bar with super fresh and delicious cocktails. My roomie and I stayed in the smaller double twin room in the guest house. It was plenty of space for the both of us. Everything including the rooms were impeccably clean. I had clothes washed as well and they came back to me perfectly cleaned and pressed! Perfect location to hop on tuk tuk and head downtown. We also took a cooking class with the hotels chef. They took us to the market to buy ingredients and let us pick out fresh fruits that we wanted to try. The food was delicious and super fun to make. I can’t put into words how lovely and kind the staff and owner were. They always greet you with a big smile and work super hard to make sure their guests have a great stay. They were always happy to help us book excursions or provide activity recommendations. This hotel and Siem reap as a whole will always hold a special place in my heart. I can’t wait to go back and visit. ❤️

The Baby Elephant is a beautiful gem hidden away on the busy streets of Siem Reap. We were welcomed by staff with a cool towel and refreshing dragon fruit drink. The rooms were clean and tidy. We spend our afternoon by the pool, the food was great and the cocktails were amazing and a great price ($4 each non happy hour from memory) , and even better during happy hour ($2 each from memory).
Would definitely recommend staying here
