What a pleasure to arrive in a place where the staff IS expecting us and there is NO time wasted to check-in. Beyond the gate lies a lush tropical gem of a place with only 25 bedrooms spaced out around a lovely pool. Breakfast is a set menu, the same each morning with a plate of tropical fruit, some bread...

While this hotel was set in wonderful, lush surroundings -and the rooms themselves were fine, we found it hard to access. Even the tuk tuk drivers didn't seem to know about it. It was down the end of a unlit, dirt road, which was a little intimidating at night. The pool itself was beautiful and work was being done on...

The second time I stay in this small hotel....the staff is nice, the local cook make a simple but good laotians dishes, but unfortunatly the rooms are not very nice, old, not very clean, should need renovating - the swimming pool is not clean, it is rather noisy as many visitors are so so....

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and picked it because it isn't too modern and bears local style and flora in the garden surrounding the pool. The rooms are quaint and the bed has a mosquito net which is great. There is free wi-fi throughout the hotel, in our room the reception was a bit weak but worked depending...

Breakfast is more then ok and a wonderfull spot to eat. Rooms are clean. We had a free pickup from the harbour when we arrived from Battambang. They...

One of the most memorable stays I have ever had! The property reflects the local style ... quirky and beautiful. We had two rooms on the upper level of one of the buildings which included a private patio as well ... perfect for a couple and college-age daughter. We didn't need AC but it was available. The central courtyard with...

Our family of 5 adults stayed for 7 days at the start of December. Having booked several months ago we were disturbed to read three recent negative reviews and so we arrived with a little apprehension. The trip from the airport past all the enormous brightly lit western chain hotels into the centre of town which then quickly changed into...

We stayed for 7 nights over Christmas 2013 . Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a touch of local charm at good value. The rooms are simply furnished but pleasant (we stayed in an upstairs room with its own terrace) and are located around a secluded garden with salt water pool (no chlorine). The...

We stayed at Mysteres d'Angkor for 2 nights. Our room was nicely designed and comfortable, the pool was nice but quite busy in the afternoons, and the gardens were pretty. We just didn't feel at all welcome here. We were pretty much ignored at the front desk when arriving back from town at night, when we asked questions they were...

Expectations were for quaint, modest, clean; like a pension but in an authentic Khmer style. This gets two stars because at the base line it's a functional place and it was cheap. But, I know we could have done a lot better for our money in Siem Reap. Car that picked us up was a real beater, with weak air...

“If you don't like climbing steep wooden stairs, go for a ground floor room. But the view is better from up top.”

“it is O.K for younger people who don't look for real confort and not too expensive prices!”
Ekika06, 18 Oct 2014 | Read review
“The stairways are a bit steep, so if you have any mobility issues you might prefer a ground floor room. The property is a bit out of the way ... which makes it quieter and perhaps more authentic but also demands a tuk-tuk to go out in the evening (especially when returning).”
