I recently spent 8 fantastic nights at Heritage Suites. This was my first visit to Siem Reap/Cambodia. I was originally booked to stay just 4 nights but loved the hotel and staff so much I extended rather than move to another hotel in the area as originally planned. My first 4 nights I stayed in one of the pool villas which I absolutely loved a spacious space with everything that you need and the benefit of the pool which was great to cool off in. My additional 4 nights I moved into a Heritage Room which again was a great space.
Other than breakfast which was included I chose to eat quite a lot in the hotel restaurant and by the pool at lunchtimes and evenings and the food was always perfect whatever I chose, it was slightly more expensive than what can be found in the area but it was worth it.
I also visited the Spa a couple of times which again was very much worth a visit and prices seemed reasonable to me.
The biggest and best thing about the hotel is the staff!!! Hands down some of the nicest people I’ve met. They can’t do enough for you and are genuinely interested in getting to know you and make sure everything is how you want it without being intrusive and too much like some places can be which was nice as I was travelling on my own to have people to talk to but who respect your space.
Overall I’d highly recommend this hotel anybody who’s considering it and hopefully I’ll get to return to the hotel soon.

We stayed at Heritage Suites for 5 nights and it was an amazing place!

The Good:
Staff were super friendly and could not do enough for us (Ty and his colleagues were all great!)
They threw in lots of extras (incl. free drinks, massages and allowed you to choose your own scent of soaps)
The property itself was stunning. It was like being in another world with its own shop, concierge office, poolside bar and spa. The spa itself was so beautiful! Never seen anything like it!
The hotel had classic cars, which you can get picked up/dropped off to the airport in (at an extra cost though).

Only two downsides:
Jacuzzi and swimming pool in our room (Red Poppy) were not heated and were therefore too cold for us to use during our stay. We did ask if they can heat it but sadly they did not have this facility. However, this is probably not an issue in Cambodia's summer months.
There was also not enough lighting in the room due to a lack of ceiling lights, therefore the rooms felt quite eerie at night.

But these are minor points and should not stop you from choosing this hotel. You won't regret it!

Hang on to your hat's boys and girls! I'm back and I have to tell you about a wonderful hotel in the heart of Siem Reap! It is the Heritage Suite Hotel and it's a beautiful hotel quietly located in the city next to a primary school. Once you pull into the entryway, you are greeted with a very nice garden that has two old school Mecedes-Benz parked in the front. The place gives you a slight colonial feel which works well with this hotel. You are immediately greeted by the staff (Mr. Long and the gang) and quickly tend to your needs (we received a cool towel and a tasty Cambodian Tea).

The front of the hotel also serves as the restaurant area which is very clean and spacious. The mood is very calming as you listen to the jazz of a small quartet in the background. Once you are checked in, the wonderful staff takes you to your room. We have a family of three (adult son) so we rented two bungalow rooms with a patio. The rooms are very spacious and more modern than I expected. The decorum fits with the island theme with beautiful wood trim and bright colors. The steam room was a big hit with my wife.

But the best part about this hotel is the SERVICE!!!! Oh yes, you will feel well cared for at this place here my friends. We had Finan and Sinat as our maître d and they were fantastic! We stayed there for 8 days and every day they took the time to find out what we wanted and yet gave us space to enjoy our meal experience. No detail was missed, and they were so pleasant to meet every morning. Bravo you guys! You made the trip for us!

The hotel has access to a couple of Tuk-Tuk services but if you want someone who is kind and you can trust, you need to call on Hin Samnang! He gave us a lift to all of the temples (over 9+) and he always made sure that we were safe and sound. When we came from our first temple (Angkor Wat) we were pretty hot and thirsty, before we got to the Tuk-Tuk, he handed us a cold water! He didn't take any money for it!! It was that kind of jester that sets Samnang apart from other drivers. We kept him for the whole time and each time, he "never" overcharged us, provided expert advice about the area, culture and food of Siem Reap. He treated us like "family".

There is so much I could say about this wonderful hotel, but I challenge you to try it for yourself. You'll be glad you did!

I stayed in this hotel years ago and really enjoyed it, a reason why I decided to book again. However, it's disappointing to say it is now looking very tired and did not worth the price we booked for. There's road construction right outside of the hotel and the noise is constant from 6am to 5pm. After arriving the hotel, we were not happy with the condition of the hotel at all, the rooms and furnitures were not neat and clean enough to quality it as a 5 star hotel to be honest. The room also smelt a little bit like sewage and had to be covered with scents, then the drilling sound really tipped it off. It then took us 2.5 hours to try to find a solution with the assistant mangers, which were very nice. But the GM, just sat his AC'ed room and didn't come out to help until we asked for him at the end. He then finally came by and did not apologize but start giving reasons in a bad attitude. We called the booking agent who offered us refund instead of the hotel, because the hotel had already charged us. We asked for one free night if we stay in an upgraded room so we don't have to move, they also refused. The staff was doing their best but we really think the management needs to step up and take the right measures to upkeep the hotel, resolve the noise and customer's complaints in a more professional way. We expected more but it had really slipped.
We switched hotel and a bottle of procecco was sent by the GM, but it was really just too late.

The hotel is beautiful and all the rooms are named after different flowers.

The staff are lovely, the pool area is absolutely stunning and the service is great.

Really enjoyed the colonial feel of the place and the general atmosphere.

My only complaint is that the beds are really uncomfortable. The place seems to be targeted at couples. (Staff assumed my best friend and I were together! Which we found humorous). So they don't have the facilities to provide proper twin beds and can only provide a 'Hollywood Twin' which is two single mattresses in a queen frame. If you don't want to sleep with your traveling companion you're basically out of luck. I didn't mind the concept of a Hollywood twin, although it made the bed frightfully uncomfortable, which it probably wouldn't have been if we'd had a queen mattress in an queen frame. I unfortunately ended up sleeping on the couch in the room.

The shower is also open and has no door, so if you don't want your traveling companion to see you naked, you're out of luck! If you're traveling as friends you better be super comfortable with each other!

I would stay again, but only if I was traveling alone or with a partner.

Heritage suites is THE place to stay in Siem Reap. My wife and I had our wedding here and it was a dreamy unforgettable experience! I highly recommend this venue for a destination wedding. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, always smiling. The directors are highly capable and experienced in handling all types of events, in particular weddings, which gave us peace of mind in choosing Heritage Suites. Trust me when I say that you will be well taken care of!

The hotel architecture is stunning, with a French colonial inspired theme that contains breathtaking sculptures and artwork throughout the premises. The hotel restaurant boasts a tall grand ceiling with a cool bar that has ceiling high mirrors. The food menu contains a range of western and Cambodian cuisine that is very tasty. The inclusive breakfast with freshly squeezed juices is exceptional!

The rooms are very spacious and clean, with a nice Khmer/Cambodian touch and luxury finishes. We stayed in a pool room suite, which was 80 square metres although feels much larger than this due to open plan design. A friend stayed in the 35 square metre heritage room and it was still very spacious with close easy access to the large hotel pool. We were very fortunate to be upgraded to The Residence on the night of our wedding, which was the most beautiful hotel room I have ever stayed in.

Day spa is a dream, with many types of treatments available at reasonable prices!

The hotel location is excellent, in the heart of Siem Reap with all the main attractions close by. Tuk-tuk's on standby almost all times of the day to take you anywhere.

In terms of planning day trips or other adventures, Heritage Adventures, a sister company, has their head office within the hotel. Therefore, you can plan any activities through the hotel, which is very efficient.

This is more than just a hotel, but an experience that will leave you feeling totally relaxed and truly on holiday. The welcoming touch of all of the staff make this a six-star experience… do yourself a favour and make this your next destination holiday and hotel to stay at! We will definitely be back!!

Time of travel during January was nice and dry, sunny days, temperature between 29-33 degrees celsius.

I have visited Siem Reap often (being a Cambodian from the US) but this was my first stay with Heritage Suites. I chose it because it wasn't one of the larger resorts and felt more intimate. The room selection was also amazing.

We stayed through New Year this trip and spent several days in SR to see family, friends, and the temples. The location of the hotel itself is very central to everything (10 min from Angkor village, 5min or less to the city centre where all food and markets are).

We booked the Colonial Suite which was very big and comfortable, had its own steam room, plunge pool, separate living area and was open concept. The bungalow feel was very cute. Bed was comfortable.

Everything felt private, quiet, the hotel didn't feel extra busy or fussy at all. All the staff treated us so well, especially since my husband did not feel well once we arrived - they went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of and recovered.

The spa was wonderful and very necessary after all of our trips to Angkor village.

There was a Remorque driver always available who we also made friends with.

The breakfast included was delicious, we had other meals (lunch, dinner, in-room) at random that were also good.

I would 100% recommend this hotel for a comfortable, more personal and intimate stay if you need this level of attention and care. We did not book any event or tourist services since we didn't need them but they also have people on site to assist.

We will likely be coming back in a future visit!

Upgraded to bungalow suite(dahlia) when we arrived. Spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Without exception the staff were all very attentive and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and well presented. The pool area was peaceful with loungers to sit on in the sun or shade. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Siem Reap. Good location and just a short tuktuk from the “pub street” area which is inexpensive and takes only a few minutes.

On arrival Ty gave us his WhatsApp number so we could contact him if we had any problems which was v helpful. Our room was very nice and the pool was great. Breakfast was good also.
The hotel was a good 5-10 min tuk tuk ride to the centre of town although there were some nice restaurants nearby within walking distance.
Was easy to book temple tours with the hotel which I would recommend.
My only complaint was the WiFi was pretty poor at times.
Overall we had a great stay.

I stayed 4 nights . The room was very spacious and even had a steam room. On arrival a member of staff Ty gave me his WhatsApp number so I could contact him if I had any problems or required anything. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were cooked to order and were excellent, as was the food in the restaurant. There is a jazz night in the restaurant on a Thursday which was too loud for my taste. However there is an excellent restaurant, Marum, only a few minutes walk away so you can avoid the music if you wish.

how far is it from the main pub Street, and the temples
Answer from Dean R
28 contributions51 helpful votes
It's a bit of a walk to Pub Street. About 2 kilometers. If you are referring to the various ancient ruins when you say "temples", they are all quite a ways from town. You would need to hire a driver. I would recommend guided tours with a licensed tour guide. Heritage Suites hotel provides the best in private tours. Very informational and accomodating.

To the best of my knowledge there are no elevators. This property has only main level and second floor accommodations. I suggest you request a room on the main level. Yes, stairways have handrails. This is an intimate boutique property and can be easily accessed. The grounds are not large . Rooms, dining area, pool, bar are all within easy walking distance from ones room.

Hello Grace, As seniors on our first visit to Asia, our tour arranged through Heritage-adventures was the highlight of our trip. Our fabulous guide gave us insights into historical and cultural changes; we also visited Tonle Sap and were transported among sites in worry free comfort and ease. One can customize the experience; booking ahead will enable a carefree and relaxed pacing. A Tuk Tuk ride allows easily exploration of charming Siem Reap. We found it an excellent value.
