We stayed 2 nights before our W trek and then due to COVID closing the park another 2 nights after our trek. Alejandro the host was super accommodating in allowing us to return early and his communication throughout was great. Before the trek he shared his wealth of knowledge on the Torres Del Paine and made us feel at ease about what to expect from the trek, he also makes breakfast every morning for the guests and generally loves a chat. We had the private double with shared bathroom, the room was basic but the bed was comfy and the whole place is super clean. Another bonus was Alejandro lets you store your extra luggage for free whilst you do the trek. Overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend the hostel especially if your on a budget.
This is a good spot to gear up for a hike, or recuperate after one, or both. It's in a really nice part of town, with lots of good restaurants and outdoor shops within just a few blocks. There's a (very inexpensive) laundry across the street. It's a cheap cab ride from the bus station. But mostly it's Allehandro, the owner, who is super friendly and helpful. And he speaks english very well, so there's no problem with interpretation. Good coffee and eggs for breakfast. I don't think you can beat this place for the price.
Me and my friend stayed in the Hostel for three days before our O-Trek and the day after. Before the O-Trek we stayed in the 4-bed room and after the Trek Alejandro upgraded us to a two bed room for free! Both rooms as well as the kitchen area and the bathrooms were extraordinary clean and spacious. But what really made our stay a highlight was Alejandro! Not only did he prepare a really tasty breakfast everyday, he also shared beer and pastries with us. Furthermore he was always very obliging, giving us adviced for the Trek, talking very slow and clear because I don't speak Spanish well and he even knows some words in German! We often sat down in the living area and had amazing conversations with Alejandro. He also offered to store the luggage we didn't need on the Trek. Alejandro was always very kind and interested and if we ever come back to Puerto Natales, we will definitely stay in the Hostal Dos Lagunas again! Thank you for the perfect lodging! Viele Grüße Anna and Jonas…
We stayed for 3 nights in this hostal and we found it very nice. You have to share bathrooms but they were pretty clean. The house needs some renovation but for a budget accomodation is pretty good value for money. Alejandro, the host, was very very helpful with any information about the surroundings and the park of Paine. Always cheerful and creating a joyful atmosphere while cooking breakfast for us. We would definitely stay there again.
Perhaps the original budget hostel in Puerto Natales. Simple, clean, functional. Host Alejandro, a Puerto Natales native, speaks English, knows the area and Torres del Paine National Park, and is happy to share his insights. Take the time to get to know Alexandro beyond just getting tourist information from him - he likes to spend the time to get to know his guests.
