We stayed at this hotel as part of an organised tour and we were very surprised that this hotel was so comfortable and nice. The room are adecuade, the shower is a bit small but that didn't bother us. The breakfast is very plentiful and offers a nice variety of fruits, yogurts, they prepare eggs to order. The location is the best part, within walking distance to downtown with all the shopping and restaurants. If you stay at this place you will not be disappointed.
We just completed our Patagonia tour and chose Martin Gusinde as the hotel for the Puerto Natales part of the trip. The hotel is clean and simple with warm and comfortable rooms with cable TV, and is located within walking distance of everything in town. The rooms don't have kettles but there is a little minibar area next to the reception with a kettle, and tea, coffee, sandwich services. Breakfast is great! Made-to-order eggs, good coffee and a nice buffet spread. The most outstanding aspect of this hotel is the staff and the customer service. We had a big mishap on the tour we had arranged to Torres del Paine - the tour company failed to pick us up and we had to scramble to find another tour the same day. Martin Gusinde hotel staff helped us through every step of the way to arrange a new tour, including making many phone calls and talking to tour operators on our behalf. Without the help of the hotel staff we would have missed the chance to visit Torres del Paine because we were leaving for Argentina the next day. This kind of excellent customer service is the reason we would stay at this hotel if we return to Puerto Natales.…
This is a nice place to stay in town. The hotel has his own parking lot. The rooms are small but a great bed. Breakfast is very nice, a lot of healthy food to choose from and eggs to order. It is about a 7 minute walk to the center of the town
This is a nice little hotel close to everything in town. The rooms are small but the beds are comfortable and there is good heating in the room and bathroom. The beds are very clean. There is plenty of hot water in the shower but the water in the hand basin takes a long time to get away. There is no lift to the first floor but help is available with luggage. The breakfast is excellent and the staff in the breakfast room are very helpful and kind and very good at clearing up and replenishing. The lady at check in was really nice and so helpful and spoke wonderful English. She pointed out everything I needed to know and gave me a map. All the people on the front desk were most friendly and always acknowledged me when I came in. It looks a little austere from the outside but the staff are all so friendly and accommodating that it doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again if I am ever in this part of the world.…
My first impressions were disappointment. The hotel is more like a motel and very tired. The room was a simple box with no view and a shaded window that looks onto a parking lot. The room and the breakfast nook and foyer were clean. I quickly adjusted my rating when I summarized that most of our day was spent on excursions . However, by the time we checked out 3 nights later, I rated this hotel much higher because of the people. The front desk staff were helpful and kind and organized. The lovely lady who runs the kitchen was more like the mom hosting her family for breakfast. Everything was laid out with loving care and she fussed over everything being perfect with a homespun touch. This hotel was great!
