There is no reason for a hotel in Southern Patagonia to have air conditioning almost all year -- but we were here during a relative heat wave (mid 20's Celsius). This made sightseeing great (beautiful views out the water-facing windows), but the rooms got beastly hot at night. Leave the windows and the bugs fly in, close the windows and it was too hot to sleep. Air conditioning aside, the hotel is probably one of the nicer ones in Puerto Natales. The beds are comfortable. Good blackout curtains. Bathrooms had a large shower stall, although the towels were a bit scratchy. Breakfast buffet is OK, no hot meats but they cook eggs to order. Good WiFi.
My room was beautiful. Attic style large skylight window gave me a fantastic view over the sea. Watching the ships pass. Beautiful slightly sea themed room perfect for the location We only ate breakfast in the hotel. Eating out other nights. Once just along the front. The other time walking up to the main town My only slight complaint. I was far too hot and couldn’t turn the heat down But we had fantastic weather much warmer than I gather it normally is Delicious cakes with breakfast
Great location, lovely view of the bay...but our room smelled horrible. Every day we came back to a variety of odors...some like sewer gas. The maid had always left the window open which implies that she knew about it too. The bathroom had an extremely heavy glass door to enter the bathroom...not sure why as it was really inconvenient and served no purpose that a wooden door wouldn't have done better.
I visited this hotel as a tour leader with 13 other guests, early February 2020 for 2 nights. The location of the Hotel is very good overlooking the Fjords and just in front of the corniche where you can have a nice walk discovering artwork all along. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This hotel is beautifully decorated especially the lobby The rooms are clean, large and comfortable. The restaurant for dinner and breakfast is very good. Wifi is good.
Our room overlooked the water which was a nice feature. The room was small but well equipped. The glass bathroom door required muscle to open. The bathroom stayed too warm during our whole stay. It was like a sauna. The room was warm. We fiddled with the radiator thermostat several times but we could not lower the temperature in the main part of the room. We had to open the window to lower the temperature. The hotel staff were very helpful and responded to all our needs. The dining room is located on the first floor. I would have liked more variety for breakfast.
