A very dated and tired hotel, but very centrally located. The staff were rude and not particularly helpful or friendly. If they spent a bit of money updating the hotel, it could be the place to stay in town. Not worth the money.

We took the room near the main desk although we were warned it could be noisy; actually by nighttime it was quiet (the noise during the day was conversation at the main desk and people buzzing to be let in to the building). This room is right across from the internet computer so we wanted to be able to hop...

The Plaza Hotel is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a classic building next to the main square. The location is great and it is easy to walk to many things from here. The main entrance is just off the corner and you do have to carry your luggage up. I’m sure there is staff to help if...

My mother, sister and I got a special offer of U$S 119 on a triple room from the hotel manager, Magdalena. We stayed there on two separate nights, on our way to and back from Torres del Paine national park. This is a three-star hotel and as such fulfills all the requirements of tourists. The only downside which should be...

Spent 2 nights at Hotel Plaza. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok. Room was small and at top of noisy wooden stairs. Internet access in lobby was added convenience.

This place was just fine. It was clean and the rooms were a bit bare, but the location was great, right in town. They have a computer in the lobby for customer use, which is free.

Perfect and friendly staff. They helped us to get from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia, Argentina, because all buss tickets were sold out. They have spent hours to get us in Ushuaia and finally with a good result! Magda and Magdalena thanks again!

Spent one night here in March '08 and experienced no problems. The room was spacious and quiet, and everything in it was clean and worked properly. The breakfast was fine, and the staff were friendly and helpful with taxi arrangements and dining suggestions. Also appreciated the free internet station in the lobby. As others have noted, there are a lot...

Stayed twice at this hotel on recommendation and found it excellent on both occasions. It is a lovely old building and right on the main plaza of the city which is great for reaching anywhere central. Rooms are all en suite and recently refurbished to a very standard indeed. Staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel has internet access...

Stayed two nights and was disappointed. Hotel is very noisy, thin walls, and it is overpriced for the town.
