I have been noticing that it is always cold in China hotels, expecially in the south, during the winter. Whether the outside temperature is under 10 degrees Celsius or not has no importance. "The heating is not working ;very sorry" - No other explanation or reason. I checked in on 28th Jan 2010, arriving late with a client from Shanghai....

The hotel was on the North ring road some distance from downtown and it was frequented mainly by the business crowd. While it was supposed to be a modern hotel, the hotel had a little tired...

When this hotel opened a few years ago it was wonderful - a large number of westerners on staff to launch the property made it a great bargain in every respect - service, food etc. I am afraid that now it has turned into another Chinese operated hotel. All the westerners are gone and any "feel" of western service has...

Ramada Plaza Hotel (no relationship to the old US Ramada Inns) is a 4+ star hotel. I have staid there on several occasions, for a total of about 30 nights. I paid $58. USD per night including goumet breakfast of Japanese, Chinese and American food! Tips ARE NOT accepted! Location is great. The service and friendliness of the staff is...
