I booked into this hotel this afternoon. Had read a review prior to booking but nothing ventured, nothing gained. It is huge. Reception had OK English. Had paid via internet prior to arrival. They asked me for CNY 5000 deposit. I do not think so. Down to CNY1000. Well no, I will not pay that. Agreed to CNY200. Reasonable. No assistance with bag to room. Must admit, biggest room ever, garden room. Smells of smoke, but facilities within room are what I would expect. Went for wander to look at gym and pool. Gym has good equpment and pool seems OK, although the pool attendant was not happy that I went for a look. The buffet dinner in Yum Yum Cha, CNY118, was also OK. The hotel has 1500 rooms and twice that amount of people. To be honest, having stayed in many hotels in a number of countries, the room is wonderful(discounting cigarette smell) but I just do not feel comfortable. Atmosphere is non existant. Would not recommend staying here if you are seeking a nice ambience, good english to assist with general information. They try to provide assistance, are polite with aloofness. Have decided to check out in morning and spend my last night in Xiamen, elsewhere. Some show is going on down in Atrium and it is veeeeeery loud. I feel I have provided honest reviews, from my viewpoint in past, and although I do not like to not recommend somewhere, have only done it once before, I believe that Westeners may struggle a little here.

We visited this hotel few days ago for 3 nights and i should say that this hotel is not worth 5 stars. Yes, it is very big and has huge space, but i think at the same time it is the reason why it is not managed well. Smell/air is not good when you arrive at your floor (even not smoking floors), bad ventilation system, rooms are not clean enough (we found some small money on the floor and small pie pieces), just few people can speak English in the hotel and if you need something it is quite difficult to get(we needed a simple bag for gifts and believe me - what a problem it was for me in that hotel :))) ). Also "do not disturb" button/light is not working - they will "clean" your room anyway :))) On the other hand - it is still higher standards hotel than 7 days Inn or Jin Jiang hotels and if you have good deal still worth to go there.

Hotel was used to quarantine people that traveled to Xiamen in march 2020. The Quarantine is not bad but the charged the same price as normal while you cant use any other accommodation in the hotel.... Beside that the people that are quarantined are not allowed to order any food from outside and are forced to buy food in the hotel which is not cheap as well... Therefore they receive a 1 star for not helping the people and only cash their money!

We only stayed for 1 nite in this hotel, as it was just stop over, our flight arrive quite late, therefore our tour guide had pre-checked in for us at 8 pm and our arrival to hotel is 12 midnite. We booked a room with an additional bed ,but by the time we check in to the room at 12 midnite, the additional bed was not set up yet. I called up to check they told me cos too many rooms request for additional bed, therefore I need to wait. But that is already 4 hours ago, they notice of the additional bed setting. After half an hour with few calls to chase them, i gave up, i told them or they just give me a blanket, i will just sleep on the sofa. After 15 mins they send me a blanket (the staff can walk over to send blanket but not an additional bed). They gave me the comforter plus a cover which i need to sort it myself. As a 5 star rating hotel, that should not be the service. Dissapointed.

I was undecided on my China destination and read about Xiamen on Tripadvisor. I joined a tour to Xiamen while in HK. The first 2 nites we stayed at this hotel, which supposed to be the biggest hotel in the area.
We were allocated a box room ie one without window, which has a very uncomfortable atmosphere. the cupboard and carpet near the toliet has sign of water marks. The bed is steel frame, not your normal hotel essemble bed. However, the biggest surprise was in finding a spring roll under my bed!!
No need to comment on the cleaness of this hotel.

The hotel is big. That is the only selling point. It is miles away from the center of Xiamen and there is nothing of interest in the surroundings. The staff speak little English - it is a hotel for Chinese. Our room just had one tea bag for a drink. It was big but that is all. The TV had no English channel besides CGTN. The toilet clogged so that it could not be used. The lighting was very dim. The breakfast buffet was big but I just took bread and jam. The coffee was not good and there were problems with the machine.

Officially, this hotel has 1525 rooms and, the weekend we stayed in it, it was packed to bursting. It claims to be a five-star hotel but really that's only because the management have cynically done just enough to get the right boxes ticked. Staying there is rather stressful - for starters it's very easy to lose track of where your room is, such is the scale of the place, and the staff haven't really understood the concept of customer service. Breakfast is comically frenzied - quite simply, there were too many guests chasing too little food. Everytime a waiter put down a tray of something edible, about one-hundred people would descend on it! Whoever thought it was a clever idea to have one enormous eating hall instead of multiple, smaller earing areas, really needs to have a re-think. The room was okay but even though we were assured it was a designated non-smoking one, it was clear that the previous occupants had been heavy smokers. My advice would be to go for a smaller hotel unless you are super-gregarious and relish a fight for a croissant at breakfast.

Nice rooms and breakfast in executive lounge was good , service in general was acceptable, but because it is such a big hotel there is no personal attention, room service food is served on plastic plates and glasses-McDonalds style!! Won’t stay their again!

The hotel is really huge and there is always a great number of people around. The rooms are big and clean. Has the usual amenities but the TV has no English or international news channels but instead has a great free to watch movie menu. Sits near a new temple where you can get a taste of the religious ceremonies. Also a shopping complex in the process of opening with a choice of fast food restaurants and a Metro hyper market around the corner. The best though is that it is about five minutes drive from the airport.
