Like many midrange Chinese hotels, this place has huge rooms with many mirrored surfaces and what I find to be bracingly firm mattresses. And also that big window in the bathroom which looks out into the room. Who is that for??? Unlike many Chinese hotels, our nonsmoking room actually didn't smell like smoke at all!!! Hurray!

Hotel well located very close to the airport terminal - easy walking distance. Staff friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and reasonably appointed. Very limited choice of food and drink when we arrived at around 930 pm. Wi-Fi works reasonably ok. Would only recommend this hotel for a brief stopover if you need to be near the airport.... More

This is a very good business Hotel . Had breakfast booked with the room . They had a very good mix of both Asian dishes as well as western offerings . Fresh made egg dishes like omelets. Full offering of in season fresh fruit.Fresh coffee or espresso. That ran till 10 AM every morning.

It is quite a nice hotel by Chinese standards, but when I checked into my room the air conditioning was off and very warm 27 degrees C in my room. When I complained the staff said that the AC was off because it had been a little cool in Qingdao and they were worried people might get sick because of... More

When you arrive to Qingdao airport you don't need to take a taxi or bus. You can take a short walk to the Hotel. It is barely few hundred meters. Taking a bus or taxi could take more than 30 minutes since the road connections take a long way around the airport. The hotel usually offers airport pickup. In my... More

The Hotel Grand Mercure Qingdao Airport has over 200 rooms. It is close to the airport in 10 minutes walking distance, but only manageable with little luggage. By calling the hotel, the free shuttle is sent for pick-up. The Executive room #702 is spacious with 42 m2. The decor is slightly out of date. The furniture is in good condition.... More

I arrived late one night and was given an excellent room - good quality fixtures and fittings, comfy bed but had to leave early the next day. When I returned I was given a good room, not quite as fantastic but still good and had dinner and breakfast too. Staff at the hotel were excellent and I would recommend this... More

I booked this hotel because I needed to take a flight in the morning. It is really close to airport. But, of course it is quite far from city centre. Rooms are big, like usually in China, but bed was quite hard. Good option for business trip

I was in Qingdao for a short time since I was on a business trip there. I booked myself at the Grand Mercure Qingdao Airport. It was at close proximity to the airport but you have to exit the airport to reach the hotel. If you don’t have a lot of bags, you can walk to the hotel for a... More

I stayed one night here in a quick visit to Qingdao. I chose this hotel because it was part of a very cheap flight-hotel package from Wotif. It is very handy to the airport, no more that a couple of minutes walk. When you exit the airport building, just turn left and follow the road, that's it. Airport noise wasn't... More
