The hostel is very cheap - only 70RMB for a private room with ensuite (low season). Great value. Shower pressure and temperature is good. Good reverse-cycle airconditioner in room. Great range of services offered by hotel: free luggage storage (even when I went travelling for up to 2 weeks), laundry service (plus washing machines if you want to do it...

We booked to stay here for 2 nights as it got a star and a rave review from Lonely Planet. Apart from it being dirt cheap I have little in the way of positive remarks about this hostel. The whole hostel was freezing, from common areas to the room itself and the 'heating' did little to improve the situation. In...

The staff is excellent! The girls there really helped us by calling other hostel and check with us way to go from one place to...

We enjoyed our 3 nights at this hostel. Staff were very helpful and spoke good English. Nice seating areas. We liked being able to use the washing machine and drying facilities, as well as cheap beers. Twin rooms small and walls a little thin but decent overall.

Due to all the positive reviews we perhaps had too high hopes for this hostel. The prices are very fair, but the place definitely needs a makeover. It all had the feeling that since a new owner took over end of 2010 nothing has be done to the place anymore. Paint is letting loose on all the walls, menus are...
