This hotel is in a great location and although the room is very simple it was extremely clean and comfortable. We had a wrap around balcony that looked out over the street and allowed us to watch all the action from our room. Breakfast was served each day on the rooftop patio and is made to order. Although you are... More

This was the third stay at Balcones del Badillo. I am a repeat customer because of the location, quality of the service and enjoyable breakfasts on the rooftop overlooking part of the Ciudad Amurallada. They are very considerate and accommodating. There is wifi access with a computer and printer. It is located between Getsemine and plaza Santo domingo neighborhoods. I... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely hotel in the heart of Cartagena's historic center. The owner and all of her staff were kind, hospitable and knowledgeable and the breakfasts were hot and delicious with yummy, fresh tropical juices every morning. They helped us feel at home and we had a wonderful stay! I would highly recommend this hotel... More

I stayed here as I was traveling with a pet and they were one of the few hotels that accept pets. The front desk was helpful and the hotel is well located. However there were a lot of negatives. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink and they said that wasn't provided. The pillows were hard as a... More

this little hotel is situated in the old city of Cartagena. The rooms are simply furnished but they have their own toalett and shower. The hotel is very secure, clean and the stuff is so kind and helpful. The breakfast with eggs, bread, juice and coffe is served on the roof terass. We leaved there at first four nights and... More

Ladies, stay away from this place! The guy who checked me in seemed friendly. He told my husband and me that his name was Ricard, and that he had only one room available - 304. He brought us to the room. I asked him where the bathroom was. He showed it to me. I was exhausted from traveling and accepted... More

I paid dearly for this room. If you can find cheaper, go for it! But.. if want a nice area, pretty hotel and room, balcony view of the narrow Cartagena streets, then this is what you will get. The only downside was the entry. You have to ring the doorbell and wait for someone to open the door. If you... More

THIS IS NOT A HOTEL ! This is your basic backpackers B & B except you get your own room and pay dearly for it. It is clean but NOT WORTH HALF THE RIDICULOUS $65 a head. They DO NOT charge by the room but rather by the person, so if you are not alone it is an absurd $130... More

Hotel is in the cheaper bracket in Cartagena (though that isnt especially cheap in comparison with most of the rest of S America), and so you shouldnt expect too much. Its fine - clean, safe, air conditioned and in a good location in the old city. But rooms are a bit bare, there isnt really hot water, staff are not... More

nice rooms, basic, but rather big rooms. We had a room with a huge balcony, ask for that as some rooms are smaller. Clean. Nice terrace upstairs where breakfast was served. Good but not a huge amount of food. Great location and I think it was a very good hotel, in relation to what we paid. Stayed there July 2007.... More
