The Asbury Ocean Club Hotel emerges as an elegant retreat with guests frequently applauding its beautiful, clean rooms and the staff's warm service. Despite occasional views on room size and service hiccups, many visitors cherish the hotel's stylish atmosphere and luxury amenities, such as the pool and spa. However, the high costs and extra charges have led some to question the value. Its prime location near the beach and local dining is a highlight for numerous travelers.

We had a fantastic stay at your hotel and especially enjoyed the central location to all the restaurants in asbury park as well as the proximity and view of the water. The pool was our favorite part and the service was great there. We also very much appreciated the nightly turn down service and water that was provided. The room was very comfortable and the shower was also great to use. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend to others! Only downside is probably the price per night but it was summer so I’m sure it’s always pricier then.

This was our second stay at the Asbury Ocean Club. We had previously stayed in 2019. This hotel is dreamy. Staff are so friendly and pleasant. Need to shout out Michelle, the pool server, who is so hardworking, constantly bringing ice water and seeing if anyone needs anything. She deserves recognition as she definitely goes over and beyond compared to the other staff (pool bartenders could be a little bit more attentive and less chatty with each other... had to wait awhile for them to even realize I was sitting there, waiting to order).
The front staff at check in and check out are also lovely, friendly and informative.
The pool area is so beautiful. The pool on our first day was disgustingly hot and not refreshing at all. We were sweating while sitting in the pool. But they pumped in water and the next day, the temperature was perfect.
We were very sad to see that they no longer offer the continental breakfast buffet. It was so good during our first visit and we were looking forward to it and now everything is a la carte. Bummer.
In order for it to be a truly 5 star room, they need to add three things: (1) an extra garbage can in the room (only one garbage can in the toilet room) and (2) a lighted, magnifying makeup mirror as the lighting is low. The beds are very comfortable however, they also need (3) to add a top sheet. I was never a top sheet person but I now run hot at night and the comforter was too warm. A top sheet would have helped. There is a Nespresso machine, a mini fridge, and a drawer safe. Robes and slippers are also provided.
I HATE resort fees and don't think that their resort fees justify the cost. If you're going to charge almost $42 per night, it should definitely include beach passes. Wi-Fi should be a given. Bottled water replenished daily should not cost $42. PLEASE get rid of the resort fee... it is such a turn off.
I overheard a nasty dispute between hotel guests and a resident who was angry about not being able to get a bed at the pool. I totally could sympathize with both parties. The hotel guests paid a premium to stay and had every right to claim beds, first come, first serve but I also sympathized with the resident who also paid a hefty sum to own a place at this gorgeous place and could not get a bed.
Overall, we had a great stay. I hope they take into consideration the suggestions to make this hotel truly 5 stars.

Just finished a week of relaxation at the Asbury Ocean Club and it was just what I needed! The staff made sure I was comfortable and were highly attentive to anything I needed. Whether I dined in the lounge or in my room, I enjoyed the healthy menu options. The gym was really nice with brand new equipment and two studio rooms with yoga classes offered in the morning. The spacious room had a spectacular view of the ocean and a balcony from which to enjoy the view. While the hotel is on the higher end of the price range, you receive a tremendous value for what you pay. Perfect staycation!

Pros: excellent pool staff, great location, very good on-site food & beverage for Jersey Shore, killer views, great meeting up location if you're big into partying and visiting with a large group, great fitness rooms and classes

Cons: hotel rooms are beautifully designed to distract you from how small they are for the prices being charged, glass patio doors can withstand a hurricane-grade storm but not musical concerts from the Stone Pony (which ends around 11pm) and club music (which doesn't end until 2am) so this is not the hotel for you to rest in, on-site spa is an afterthought (I found damp robes stuffed into a locker, robes were torn), the daily resort fee doesn't even include access to the beach less than 50 feet away

P.S. Avoid Room 3 like the plague unless you are traveling with folks also occupying the adjoining Room 2. The room is marketed as a suite but has no separate living room. The bed is 3 steps from the room door so you're going to hear everything in the hallway, especially when the heavy room doors slam, and the extra door at the end of the hallway gets slammed (double whammy each time!). Your bed will face the bathroom door, and your headboard will rattle whenever folks from Room 2 come in and out and noise filters through the connecting door next to your head. Its a room featuring heated bathroom floors which was incredible but they couldn't get the simple things like layout and comfort right. Bizarre.

We were overall very disappointed with our stay for a few important reasons. Firstly, I must say that the staff is amazing - kind and helpful - and I do not want my comments to take anything away from what they are doing. The room/bathroom/shower were also lovely. The mattress was very very soft and we did not sleep well. I got sick from a frozen drink that I ordered at the pool and spent the first evening in bed. Management comped our food/drinks which was very nice and we did not ask for that.
This was the most we have ever spent on a hotel per night and we regretted it. I felt misled - the reason we booked Ocean Club instead of Asbury Hotel is because I thought from the website that it was beachfront. Yes, there are beach views from the pool on the 4th floor if you walk up to the glass - but it's across the street from the beach with a large boardwalk building in front. There is no lobby - it's very cold with tiny stump stools - not really inviting to sit while waiting for check-in/out, etc. The indoor common areas were empty although the hotel was seemingly booked online. The common areas did not feel inviting. The music at the pool drove us nuts and we were happy that it seemed some of the speakers were not working the second day. It was like a new age elevator music - played so loudly too. We asked someone about it and he empathized and said it was changed with new management. Asbury Park is a music town and we would have enjoyed almost any other music at the pool! Classical, rock, pop. whatever. We did not realize that smoking was allowed on the little terraces. A few times we wanted to go sit outside our room, the woman next door was smoking cigarettes out there and we had to remain inside. There were also a lot of fruit flies around the exterior door and they would come in when we opened and closed the door. We also did not realize that most of the building are residences. It was not as we expected from the website.

Neptune, New Jersey

This past weekend, I booked a night here to propose to my girlfriend of 7 years. I was born and raised in the Neptune area, and have been visiting Asbury Park beach even as a child before it began building itself again. Asbury park has become a meaningful place for us over 7 years, feeling like home. We were always curious about the new Asbury Ocean Club hotel. When planning to stay overnight and propose in the area, I found this hotel to be perfect with the ocean view and luxurious amenities and was a little nervous about the price but took the risk having a good feeling it would be worth it. The experience that we had went above and beyond my expectations. Every staff member we encountered was kind and helpful, the cleanliness and beauty of both the hotel room and the pool area was spectacular. We felt like we were on a resort, on a beach vacation in our own town for the first time ever! My now fiancé loved it so much that she extended our stay for another night! If we could have stayed longer we would have. It was so great to have been able to enjoy the amenities even after we checked out. We were even able to have our family and close friends join us at the pool, which made the experience even more special. They loved it too! The front desk and valet were so kind and helpful, holding our luggage and Geo was even loading the car for us! We were even given a bottle of champagne in our room when I mentioned I was proposing, which was such a simple but meaningful bonus! Our servers by the pool, Skylar and Chi were so kind and made us feel right at home. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience overall. Absolutely everything was perfect, and I cannot wait to stay again! I would 10/10 recommend to everyone, whether coming from far or local. Thank you all so much for everything!! We will never forget this experience :)

Great Check-in staff. But I paid $600 for a room in early March (no one was there). The bartenders were unfriendly. The dining room staff were undertrained and exceptionally slow. They charge a $49 resort fee for nothing--you don't get free parking, and if you ask for water you're told you can go buy it at their bar. The rooms are lovely, though the views aren't great... almost all rooms have side views of with a glimpse of the ocean and mostly look out onto an ugly municipal parking lot. The price to quality ratio is poor. The beds are exceptionally soft. So if you love that you'll be happy but if you don't you won't sleep well.

The common areas, including the elevators, hallways and dining rooms were always impeccable and in good condition.

The hotel is very nice & across the street from the Boardwalk in Asbury Park. It's in a great location & you can walk to several restaurants. Parking is free and very close (about 100 feet away). They also have valet, but it is very pricey. The hotel rooms are all on the 4th floor (along with the bar, restaurant & pool with an outdoor bar that overlooks the ocean). The remainder of the floors in the building are all privately owned condos. Our room was truly beautiful! The bed was very comfortable & they have a privacy curtain around the shower which is very practical & unique. The area outside our room was very nice & private. At night, there is a "living room" area with a gas fireplace where you could have a nightcap where they also provided entertainment (a piano player).

From the moment of arrival and being greeted you are made to feel as though you matter. The attention to detail is nothing I would expect from a hotel on the Jersey Shore. Everything about the property has you feeling as if you are staying somewhere out of the states. I was truly suprised by the entire stay, and how great it was.
