When I arrived in Santa Marta I hadn't yet planned were to stay. I called them since they are recommended in the guide book and was told they had availability. I requested a private room but it was so hot as it was upstairs and the sun was hitting it directly. I proceeded to ask for a cool room even... More

I arrived at the hostel at 11pm at night and had a flight that was leaving at 6am the next day so would have to leave around 3am. I didn't have much peso left and after the owner informed me the taxi would cost approx 25000 that early I told him I didn't think I could afford to stay. He... More

We used Hotel Miramar as a base for about 10 days as we traveled the various sites around Santa Marta such as Tayrona and Minca. We left our big backpacks with the hotel in order to travel more lightly, and never had an issue with this. They were always extremely welcoming and accomodating each day that we arrived back. The... I made reservations at Miramar, bit upon my arrival i decided to chance, since i did not feel confortable about the hotel's environment, as well as its location. Although they were quite attentive, i did nota feel safe there as a woman traveling by myself.

Bacpackerer hostel and the price is right. Hopefully the new kitchen is built and completed soon. The staff is Great. And the hot weather is even better. There is no BBQ , but the BBQ wagon is outside nightly. 90 different countries frequent here often. I was there in April and there were no mosquito at that time.

Good really for transiting between Csartagena & la Ciudad Perdida but not for much else. It could do with a good clean in parts but at least the service was fine with good travel advice & their cafe was adequate also .

Hostel is very cheap and basic. Staff was helpful and the onsite agency offers really good trip to Ciudad Perdida but that's it about advantages. The dorms are dark, hot and claustrophobic. Toilets were dirty. Kitchen rather out of use. But the worst thing were bed bugs! The staff was trying to tell us it's an allergy :) but once... More

The hostel is really cheap and well located. The staff helped me a lot, gave me all the information, they were really attentive. The architecture is old and it makes the hostel beautiful, but it is also not very clean. The space is all opened, so the hostel gets dirty and bugs very easily.
