Tubing down the Rio Don Diego is a wonderful activity to undertake in the Santa Marta - Palomino region! The Rio Don Diego river flows very gently to the sea. You can start at the bridge (where the road from Santa Marta to Palomino crosses the river) or they can take you up river a bit by boat. The latter...

I stayed in Guacamaya 7, which is the lower cabin of the cabana. The toilet was indoors, but the shower was outdoors, which was beautiful at night under the stars. The solar light did not work most of the time, so you should bring a headlamp or flashlight. The generator also did not work all of the time (supposed to...

We stayed here for two nights during our roundtrip in Colombia with our three children aged 7, 5 and 3. The location of this accommadation is fenomenal and the best way to get there is by boat. It's located close to the river between the surrounding hills with a small museum and some archaeological sites. Just walking around the site...

Respected Sir, We present excuses to you; we are working to improve our service and we will consider your suggestions. We also take note of the things that depended on the administration: fruit for breakfast, water charging at breakfast, assistant to lower the luggage. That should not happen. Sorry really.

This is a great place to visit. The site setup is beautiful and peaceful. The river is awesome and the tubing plan is excellent. They need to install fans in each cabin. It is extremely hot at night and becomes uncomfortable to sleep. Front desk and restaurant staff need serious training to deal with visitors. They need to provide instructions...

The arqueological sites are very well maintained as well as the paths to get there. The museum has some beautiiful pieces. The gardens are wonderful with a whole rainbow of colors. Loved it. Best plan if you want to scape the cities and experience nature purity. Beautiful beaches and transparent rivers. Very clean and excellent food. Me encantó que el lugar es súper tranquilo y apartado de la civilizción.

Taironaka is a terrestrial paradise. "Terrestrial" means that Taironaka remains attached to natural and social conditions that are fragile and perfectible, "paradise" means that it is an incredibly beautiful and bountiful place that has little in common with our normal life-world. Staying at Taironaka is an experiment. You try to balance the satisfactory provision of basic goods necessary for decent...

With a party of 33 (Colombians and Swiss aged 2-58), we went to this amazingly well kept natural sanctuary and absolutely adored it. Perfect place to celebrate life and turn 50. It is superbly well managed, staff very friendly, delicious food, great programs, including going down the Don Diego river into to the Caribbean ocean on inflatable tires. Plus, the...

A Colombian friend from Santa Marta recommended to stay here and helped book it, together with a side trip floating down the Don Diego river to the sea in a rubber ring. It was a beautiful place with lovely grounds and a nice walk into the forest at the back to see the archeological remains. The best part was the...

We loved it here. We had such nice rooms. Like a whole house for our family. The 1e day we were shown around and learned about the "indigenas". The next day I was sick and my family went on the river trip. The staff was so nice. I didn't ask for anything, but they brought me soup and drinks. Thanks!!!
