Visited 4 cities during my trip to Colombia and this was, by far, the highlight of my vacation. Just 1.5 miles from Tayrona Park entrance and a few yards from 2 wonderful beaches (playa Los Angeles and playa Los Naranjos). The view from my room was breathtaking. The staff was really great with us helping with last minute transportation. A...

It looks like paradise but it is hell ! No one speaks any languages but Spanish. No one is there to help you. Rooms are terrible. Our room had serious issues with plumbing, rooms are not clean. Food is poor. Flies and mosquitos are part of the menu. Good luck !

My friend and I stayed here for two nights and were very happy with our stay. I had read about it in a Lonely Planet and I'm surprised by all of the negative reviews on here. I can confirm there was no one else staying at the hotel while we were there, but we kind of enjoyed that. We had...

The hotel is beautiful and has a great view of the national park on one end and the ocean on the other, however, the staff are simply useless. The only time they ever really talked to us was to knock on our door for dinner, which was one of the least healthy meals we'd eaten on our trip. The room...

You are on your own and you are in rural Colombia. No help with anything. Shower was broken, no lock in the balcony door and no security of any kind or any staff at night. I asked to leave my bag while going to the national park nearby in the morning. I was told it was ok when I checked...

I got food poisoning here, although the staff refused to accept it and made me pay for the lunch which made me sick. There was no bar or way to get drinks / snacks. The staff were unfriendly and we checked out after one night even though we had booked for 4. For the remaining 3 nights we went to...

We stayed 3 nights. Views from room #1 are incredible. Overall is super clean, although WC deposit tends to fail to refill after use. There's a safe in the room but no minibar or room service. Rate includes breakfast and dinner with few options that after 3 days become repetitive. Food quality is excellent and staff is kind although speak...

We spent one night in barlovento I won't repeat the amazing things said in other reviews about the view the location ! There is also a private beach almost empty like you see on postcards. Having said that it's a pity that the service is that bad, the woman who welcomes guests does the minimum without any smile of positive...

I agree with the recent posts made here. It seems like there has been some sort of management change relatively recently as the reviews from last year were what we based staying here on and were completely contradictory to our experience. The hotel is fantastically located with stunning views and perfect for on of the Tayrona park entrances. However, apart...

Generally speaking, we found the place to be disappointing and a bit of a rip off. Surely not worth the USD 220 we paid per night. We did try to discuss our issues with the manager, but unfortunately were not given the opportunity. To say the positive first: The location of the hotel is marvelous with stunning views over the...
