Was coming in for a concert and needed a place to stay on a Saturday night. Mostly everything in the area (non-casino) was already sold out and the few places that had rooms available in nearby Pleasantville or Absecon all had current very negative reviews so I avoided them.

After my research, I found the Days Inn – Boardwalk and selected a remaining room. It was your typical inner city Days Inn setup, except there was no free Breakfast. Not the end of the world though I thought as the property was connected to a Country Kitchen Restaurant, however upon arrival learned that restaurant was closed.

The place was very old, yet clean so had no complaints with that. Found out they are short staffed with only 4 people working there and only open Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights which did not affect my stay.

The price was rather high ($400+ including tax) for a normal side view room, but with everything else in the area sold out this was fully understood.

Checkout was super quick and our car was conveniently parked in their connecting lot so that made things easy.

If you are looking for a non-casino place to stay directly on the Boardwalk and close to everything (the Tropicana is immediately next to it) I would definitely recommend this bare bones hotel to others.

Decent hotel if you want a cheap oceanfront. Elevators are small and now they charge you to park 20 bucks a night which was not a rhing before. Besodes that. Rooms are decent and have balcony. Staff is nice also. Only other thing is theres no breakfast like it says. Only coffee.

Should b 4 pillows in room. Parking situation no where to park since we got back to hotel late after dinner night guy never told us to park & leave keys & he would move car if I blocked someone in that had to get out & charged 30.00 to park I refused to pay that so he said ok pay 15.00 what a scam so we had to park 1-1/2 blocks away at the Econo Lodge & walk with our luggage to days inn. It was clean just outdated but would stay again if needed I lousy would bring my own pillow & park car early & use jitney to get around had dinner at hard rock got back at 11:30 no where to park

The appearance of the hotel is very shabby. Booking website mentioned that the price included breakfast but when we checked in the hotel said there is no breakfast. Coffee was available but that was only after 7am. The floor we stayed in had a balcony which had an open corridor to other rooms which was a concern as people were walking up and down.

This hotel was a nightmare. They only had one functional elevator, which was tiny and cramped. They falsely advertised free breakfast, but all they offered was bad coffee. They also lied about free parking—it’s actually $20 a day. Every floor reeked of weed and was decorated like the 70s. The entire place was gross, with ancient, insecure doors and unsecured entrances between rooms. The comforter shown in the photos wasn’t even a comforter. The AC barely worked, and the photos lied about everything. The alley had extremely shady activity, and the glass was filthy. Not worth the price at all. The shower had mildew too. Avoid this place at all costs. The staff is unhelpful and you can't get a refund without contacting corporate.

By far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Walls are paper thin, rooms are dirty, surrounding area is sketchy, and staff are unwilling to help with noise complaints from nearby belligerents. Despite advertised free parking, they charge ~20-30 per day to park your vehicle. Do everything you can to avoid this dump.

My husband and I were searching for an affordable place close to the boardwalk for a quick overnight stay. In looking at the pictures online we believed this was a good location for the cost. Our stay was disappointing at best. The hotel was not my idea of clean, only one elevator was operable, and the facility looked run down, even though they were under construction. When we arrived, they front desk clerk said they would need to take possession of our car keys to be able to move our car as needed to accommodate parking. Within our less than 24 hours stay they had moved our vehicle approximately four times. The following morning after checkout we realized our car had been damaged. Apparently, one of the attendants moving our vehicle attempted to squeeze the car into a narrow parking spot scrapping the driver side of the vehicle along one of the beams. There was damage from the headlights to the rear of the vehicle. The attendant tried to brush it off and would not take accountability for the damaged they caused. We attempted to elevate the concern to corporate. However, that was unsuccessful as well. They were unresponsive to emails, and telephone calls. If we weren't transferred to a line where no one answered, we were given the run-around about the manager being out of the country and no one being available to provide a resolution to our concerns. To date, after multiple attempts of communication via telephone and email, it has been approximately three weeks since this incident occurred, and we have yet to receive a response from the local or corporate office. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone!

Avoid this hole at all costs! Just pay the extra money for a casino hotel! Overwhelming pot smoke smell throughout the building. The rooms are old and dingy. We had hair and cleaning gloves in the bathroom upon arrival. Walls are thin and guests are loud all night. We were offered a different room that reaked of mold and mildew. Asked for a refund to leave within 10 minutes of arriving and they refused and told my boyfriend “not my problem” when he addressed the cleanliness, noise and smell issue. It’s outdated, dingy and just a hole. Heed my advice and choose a different hotel!

Always stay when coming to AC and never had any complaints. The hotel is situated perfectly on the boardwalk right in the middle of the casino strip so it is perfect for those who don’t have comp points or don’t want to pay higher prices at one of the resorts. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean and cozy. The beds are very comfortable. We usually stay in the ocean front balcony rooms and I always make a point to get up to watch the sun rise over the ocean. It’s breathtaking. You truly feel like you could be at one of the fancier more expensive resorts.

Wife and I have been coming to AC at least 2 times a year since the 80's and boy have things changed. So we have been around. We have stayed at ALL the Casinos even in Hi rollers rooms.. How much time do you spend in your room? So the Days Inn. Morris ave. next to the Trop. We love the ocean front balcony's. It is great for people watching when in he room. We have been friends with the old owner but now enjoying the new staff as they are very friendly and accommodating. No holding back for anything I asked for.. Was the room a little worn? room 450 had a closet door would not close. 2 of the dresser drawers were "funky" to open and close (older) but work. Did i smell Pot in the hall? sure did at times.. but not all the time. Cig smoke? some But no all the time. It was much more smelling in Ocean last year. the room was very clean, the beds were a bit hard but a good sleep. Pillows are small and suck so we always bring our own. Bathroom clean and shower wonderful!! Carpet Clean(like the room) and its tile and you can see a lot changed out to new. No Breakfast and miss the old restaurant. For my wife and I, this is a great Place.. Issues, sure. But we have had issues at every place in AC if we choose to point them out. We so enjoyed the balcony and the $447,00 bill for 3 nights even thou rain and wind. We will be going back in September. We Enjoyed the Days Inn.

This hotel is directly next to the Topicana. When looking at the ocean, the Tropicana is to the left. I'm unsure if there is another one in the opposite direction.
