Good sightseing, big apartment in a beautiful house. That's all. All the rest is poor. You must pay cash. Pool is green. Furnitures are old and bad. Bedroom was D'Annunzio style, full of velvet, hot. Kitchen is tiny, fridge is tiny. Internet doesn't work. Plugs are bad, A/C can't reach all the rooms. Garden is not cut. No enough space for parking when full.

A lot different to the pictures. The pool was very green when we arrived, which the owners said was down to rain, however rain doesn’t account for the muck/dirt all around the sides. The green colour did eventually change and we did see the floor of the pool being cleaned by a machine each morning. The pool area is extremely tired, broken furniture, flooring and ashtrays full of cigarettes ends, dirty and tired cushions. The accommodation was tired looking and parts of it unclean. The facilities where suitable for our stay of five nights small kitchen as we ate in twice. Although the apartment is very small so five nights was enough. There are no curtains on the glass door which meant those sleeping in the living area had sun streaking in very early, this also effected bedroom. A walk down the hill to the town was pleasant. Very quiet area which was nice. Yes there is a sea view from the front door but it’s over the cars and through the trees. The patio area was not so nice to sit out on as it was on the carpark. Parking was a bit of a free for all and up a steep hill. The host was lovely and welcoming but the place has the ability to be wonderful if it had a tidy up. The view from the pool is pretty. Booking.com said it took card payments but when I gave my card over the host was not impressed saying cash only. I said I don’t carry that much cash and she eventually took my card payment.

We have wrestled with how to review here. Firstly the positive - the hosts were lovely and very helpful, and the views are incredible. The not so good - the pool is dirty and very busy, and nearly all the pool furniture is broken. Our villa ( number 6 ) was tired with broken doors and windows, which meant we only had access to one of the two balconies, and it had a bad smell in the bathroom, but it was clean. Parking was a nightmare with a very steep drive and not enough spaces Also being asked to pay over €1100 in cash for our stay of a week seemed strange Overall we were disappointed and with some much needed TLC this could be an amazing place

We reserved luxury apartment exceptional view.3nights. credit card numbers were given as garantee. But I was asked by mail.to pay in cash last day.Upon arrival, room unavailable : it was occupied by daughter of Erika Saric.we were offered small ill equipped alternative.then key broke in keyhole on 2nd day. Her husband said to me"The key is good, you are a bad person" sic. last day, my credit card was already debited without notice for: full amount+housekeeping for alternate apart+ key 60 €+wifi 6 € , 2days before No invoice from the locksmith: I have doubts about the real cost incurred as I have not received an official invoice Average maintenance.and unsafe electrical installations. Unfriendly contact and dishonest business conduct. I don' t recomend this holiday destination unless you make extremely clear to Erika what you pay for and how you pay for it.

The apartment was spectacular. We had a large balcony overlooking the city, the sea and the pool as well as Erika's beautiful garden. The room had an American style coffee pot so, if you like American drip coffee, bring some with you. This is an apartment with a full, small kitchen. While there is plenty of parking on the property, the property can be hard to find, especially with the road closure of the main road into Opatija for construction. It should be open soon. I wish we would have been able to stay longer.

I absolutely loved staying at Villa Palme! Amazing view of the sea right from our window and centrally located with walking distance to shops, restaurants and nightlife. The Villa was beautifully decorated and the beds were comfy, As soon as my hosts greeted me I was welcomed and treated like royalty. Will definitely be visiting Villa Palme again!

We just got back from a week at Villa Palme. At first we loved it, the house, the view, the pool and the city is magic! But everyday when I maked the bed there were more and more stains on the sheets. At first I thought the sheets hasn't been changed since the last guest. But then we realized there were BED BUGS living there! Under the sheets there were more blood stains and spillage. I even got them on film! And photos of them, the stains and spilling. Disgusting!! Now are we back home. My arms, back, legs are filled with red knots and bites that itches and not so much fun when we still have summer and I would love to wear short sleeves and skirts... I have never seen these bugs before but I warn everyone to look for them. The knowledge that they have been crawling on us when we've been sleeping, biting us, I would guess over 1000 times makes me sick 😷

I don't know what happened with some of the people who have made harsh reviews, but our stay was very pleasant, and our hosts charming. The room we had, by the pool , was very comfortable and clean. The view from the terrace was spectacular. No problems with parking or Internet connection. The villa is close to several restaurants and businesses. Just a little advice to our hosts: fix the (too high) step from the bedroom to the living room: someone is going to get hurt !

Great apartment with fantastic views. Hosts greeted us like royalty, were very helpful and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Invited us for drinks (rakija and wine) which we enjoyed very much. Highly recommend to anyone that wants great accommodation. If we ever return, it will be back to Villa Palme, it's unforgettable.
