Very nice boutique hotel with nice view over the sea. Small but cosy, full of nice decorations inside. Room design is artistic, but very comfortable, nice big bed. Hotel is clean and staff nice. Very good and tasty breakfast, good bar with good choice of drinks.
The whole hotel needs a refreshement. Walls inside and outside need some work. Tv in the room and the available channels is 0/10. There is no water available in the spa area. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant. The dinner was below average - would not eat there again. This is not a 5 star hotel and i will not return. Vinko the white shirt captain 5/5
A boutique hotel with 40 comfortable rooms overlooking the sea. The room rate includes breakfast where you are positively encouraged to eat as much as you can from either the buffet table or the menu, which included oysters. bruschetta with tomatoes, omelettes, eggs Benedict to name but a few. There is a small pool which we didn’t use as the terrace had steps leading to the sea with crystal clear water. Very comfortable loungers but sadly our European friends lay their towels down on the most comfortable ones before breakfast and despite the 45 minute non attendance removal rule we didn’t see this policed. Paddle boards and sea kayaks were provided with a small charge to enjoy the coastline which was mainly beautiful until we came across a nudist bay with mainly old men. The food in the hotel was excellent and the sister hotel 5 minute drive away did the most amazing tuna carpaccio fresh sea bass and pizzas. The neighbouring village of Volosko is a quiet fishing village with several excellent restaurants. Whilst we were there the world champion Croatian wind surfing champion returned home and was welcomed with a band and flares which added to the atmosphere. Each day we were greeted by the local wind surfing school practicing in the early morning Tramontana. The one thing that made Hotel Navis so special were the staff. Not too formal but very attentive happy and engaging. If I could be at all critical it would be the lack of staff around the sun bathing area to serve drinks but that was only on a couple of occasions. Apart from that we could not recommend this hotel more highly.…
We really loved our stay here. You can’t beat the location, the very friendly staff especially ar breakfast (Marin and Patrik) . It’s a joy to sit on the balcony or terrace watching the sea, to dive in the illuminated sea at the pier and also to see how clean the rooms were. Two points which could be better: - the staff should pay more attention to blocked sun loungers. Unfortunately there are not enough sun loungers and bean bags for all guests. And there were many sun loungers and bean bags which were blocked but not used longer than one hour. - while the waiters in the restaurant were very friendly and attentive about wearing the Covid mask their both male bosses (male waiters in white shirts) were really bad role models. One chef waiter had the mask the whole week only way beneath his chin inside and outside and was often busy with his own cell phone. The other chef waiter didn’t even bother to wear a mask at several days. This didn’t give us trust in the Covid awareness we expected in this hotel.…
After a long trip in Istra, we stopped in Opatija to finish our trip. The hotel Navis has an amazing view. We tried the sauna and outside pool and the whole experience was restful. The staff at the reception was so nice and helpful and very well organized. The food is really good but it looks like it's not finished(except breakfast) it's just on the plate and that's it, nothing interesting. the room service menu does not have any good options. Breakfast has amazing choices. We tried almost everything and it was so good. All the staff was classy and polite. All in all, it was nice.
