The Royal Palm is an excellent location for exploring the Islands. Short day trips by boat allow for hiking among the Tortoises, Iguanas, Blue Footed Boobies, Sea Lions... Snorkeling among the sharks and just enjoy this unspoiled wilderness! The hotel is a little dated and rooms could use some restoration. Service was excellent and food was good.

The Royal Palm is extraordinary in quality, given its location in the midst of a national park with ecologically-determined restrictions amid a harsh climate. The Galapagos Islands are unique. It is perhaps unfortunate that to go there is beyond the economic reach of many. The cost of just getting there skews the expectation scale of reviewers, many of whom routinely...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments, it is definitely motivating to see that we were able to share our love for the flora and fauna, and that even though we are constantly fighting the elements we are able to maintain our grounds to enhance the Experience. We do apologize that the water heater was not available in your room,...

We elected for our family of four at The Royal Palm and the team could not have been more accommodating. The villa was exquisite complete with wood burning fire place and and ocean views from the master bedroom. The staff at Royal Palm really set this hotel apart for me. To visit the Galapagos has been a lifelong dream, and the Royal Palm Hotel was a perfect complement to our trip. The service was wonderful, the staff incredibly attentive, the food was delicious, and the hospitality could NOT have been better. Daniel (the General Manager) and his crew were there for any need. We were traveling in a group of...

This place is amazing. We stayed in the Prince of Wales Suite. The place needs a bit of maintenance spent on it but it is so lovely. My sister and I walked into our suite - dining area to our right, lounge to the front which went onto one of our 3 patios. My room had a king size bed,...

Our family plus friends, 10 people in all, were at the Villa Escalesia for 5 days and then 5 of us moved to the Royal Palm for the last 3 days. I am having trouble filling out this survey because the two accommodations and service were totally different. Claudia Testa and the team at the Villa Escalesia deserve 10 stars,...

Dear Guest Thank you so much for your very kind words and for giving us 10 stars! I cannot believe this place gets TA editor's choice awards. That is shocking. I was there in February, stayed exactly one hour and then left and paid double to move to Finch Bay. It's that bad. It is truly the biggest dump I've ever seen in my life. It should be a half star, not 4 stars! Travelers should demand...

Dear Mr. Price, Thank you for your comments, We would like to “put the record straight” for our Trip Advisor readers, as your review is very derogatory considering you only spent 4 hours at the Royal Palm. Your comments are based on an impression rather than an experience. From the moment you arrived, it was obvious that you were upset...

It's too far away from either Puerto Ayora or the boat launch at Baltra. Although the rooms are very large, doors stick, there's no basin plug, there's a dampness over everything & we were overrun by hundreds of tiny worms crawling all over the floor. The pool was nice. The restaurant was okay. I can't see why you would bother...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments, I would like to make clear that The Royal Palm is located mid way between Puerto Ayora and Baltra. Due to the constant changes in climate there are times when the solid wooden doors do stick, and unfotunately the hand made copper sinks do not have plugs. We are surprised to learn that...

In January my husband and I stayed for a week at this beautiful resort. It is located at about 1150 feet up a volcano on Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos. Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your comments and we’re glad that you chose The Royal Palm as your base during your Galapagos adventures! Our main goal is to make our guests feel at home!
