New owners and live-in inn keepers have cleaned up the only bnb on the island offering warm personal service including off-street parking, beach tags, wifi, and a delicious breakfast of quiche, fresh baked goods, fruits and beverages after a restful sleep all a block from the beach. A welcome change from motel offerings! A definite choice if coming for a...

We stayed at the Sealark based on glowing reviews on Trip Advisor and others. It is now under new ownership and needs work. The positives are good location-one block from great beach and easy walk to main shopping and dining area, free WiFi, excellent breakfast. But, the interior needs updating, the bathroom (room 5) was tiny with a small prefab...

There is soap and shampoo dispensers on the wall of the shower. And they were full. I was on my knees in the garden, hands all dirty when she asked for help with her luggage. I said "not now". Did she want her bag dirty? This a 100 yr plus building. Yes the bathrooms are small, but this couple had...

This is the only B&B in Avalon. It is also the only hotel-type place in the surrounding area (around 30th street) - the rest of the hotels in Avalon-Stone Harbor are all lumped together closer to 90th street. This makes the surrounding beach around this B&B less crowded than it otherwise would be. It is also 1 block from the...

The former owners, Pat and John, finally sold the Sealark in February 2015. I'm thrilled to write that the new people are keeping it as a B & B. What a relief! My husband and I just stayed for a "quiet season" weekend (Feb 28th-March 1st). We were delighted to meet Barbara and Ed, the new proprietors. They are WONDERFUL...

We stayed here for the weekend, attending a local wedding. It was lovely. The room (#6) was large enough and comfortable. I appreciated the sink in the room, especially since the water was hotter than the sink in the bathroom. Wifi worked great. There aren't many outlets, since it's an old house, but we had what we needed. The location...

The past couple New Year's Eves, my friends and I have stayed at the Sea Lark in Avalon. We have such a great stay every time. The Sea Lark is not only conveniently located a couple blocks from the shore, but also within walking distance of the restaurants and stores. I have stayed in a couple of the rooms, and...

This is a pet friendly place with a room with a side entrance. It is a quaint and old Victorian home from the earl days of Avalon. The owners are great. John is a super guy and works to make your stay a pleasure, including him making you breakfast if you want it. It is close to the beach or...

We go to the beach, either Stone Harbor or Avalon each year to celebrate our anniversary. This year, we didn't want to board our little 16 year old Westie, so we were pleased to find that the Sealark B & B was pet friendly! We go in October, so it's always nice and quiet! We found the Sealark to be...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lovely turn of the century building. Tastefully decorated. Daily breakfast buffet with hot and cold dishes. We are new owners and very enthusiastic about our new venture. We are making some improvements, but hoping to preserve the charm of this old house. All rooms are air-conditioned and heated. We are open year round. We are one block from the beach, and one block from the stores and restaurants of Avalon. ... more   less

“Room 2 is spacious and the whirlpool tub is great. It also gets beautiful light in the morning. We usually stay in either room 2 or room 5. There's a top floor loft apartment with a tiny kitchenette, that room is popular as well and I believe has an ocean view.”

“The room you select may depend on how with how many people you travel. There are rooms great for 2 people and then also lofts if you have 3 or 4.”
