The Stella Di Mare Makadi Beach Resort & Spa is located in the prominent Makadi Bay area, on Egypt's beautiful Red Sea Riviera. Makadi is a peaceful bay with many opportunities for snorkeling and scuba diving. The semi-tropical climate makes this both a summer and winter resort. With its warm, healthy climate and the beauties of the coral reefs, this is a place to delight sun seekers and water sports enthusiasts alike. Makadi Bay is a convenient 25km south of Hurghada International Airport. The location makes it easy to access the town of Hurghada, and there are many other notable places of interest nearby, such as the island of Giftun, which is a Marine National Park, where desert and marine life are protected by law. In fact, much of the Red Sea area has a protected status. The Stella Makadi Resort & Spa is situated on a white sandy beach, and has a spectacular house reef very close by, which guests may use for snorkeling. In addition to the natural beauty of its setting, the resort has the advantage of many facilities and services to ensure a holiday that offers a wide choice of activities. For me and my wife was the fifth time in Hurghada, we travel accompanied by another couple, an we enjoy the hotel. The good things about the hotel are: the territory with a lot of green spaces, the pools are big and nice, the food variates every day and is plenty, the staff, especially Kerollos Abdallah who made everything perfect for us, a smart guy who deserves a promotion, the only one who can manage to solve any problem for us, and not only for us, many tourist around us was very pleased with him, very polite guy and speaks a lot of languages. we also like Misho from animation team, very nice and active guy, make many people lough and make us enjoy the stay, also the guy from man toilette in the evening, very kind and with good manners. The not so good parts are: the rooms are old and need renovation, the pool must be better cleaned, and for all the resort must upgrade the cleanning process a little bit more and will be the perfect resort.

There is nothing wrong with the hotel.. All the employees are without exception, excellent.. Mr. Nabil, Miss Mirna and Mr. Mohamed in the reception are very cooperative and cheerful.. Follow up on any requests until they are fulfilled.. The restaurants, bars and chefs are highly professional... The place overall is very clean.. The food is varied in all the meals with many types of food and the taste is wonderful.. A very nice initiative and the presence of female chefs.. The staff in the restaurant and all areas of the hotel are polite.. The entertainment team is great and a nice participation in sports games Variety.. In the evening, animation team presents programs are suitable for all nationalities. Thank you for the good management and for spending a wonderful vacation.

I don't even know where to start- but the biggest issue here is stuff. They treat you like you're a problem to them, and not worth their time trash. Especially recapcionist and barmans- they're rude, and can't do their job right. Guest relation is not helpfull at all. I was going to her with the same problem for week, and not only she didn't do anything, after I went with my family to a trip to Cairo for 2 days she acted like I never talked with her about that issue. The manager is the same, if not worse- he was ignoring me, and didn't show any interest in me, or my problem that I was going to them with my entire vacation. And what's my problem? Oh, it's very interesting. For all of you that are going to Egipt to see the reef- run as fast as you can from here! The bridge (the pier) is closed, and it's not going to be open till the season ends. So in a shortcut: there was a shark attack in Macadi Bay, and all hotels had to close their bridges (pier's) bc of the law, that was important to 15 JULAY, but it's still important here, for some reason- known as money. Becaouse you can't snorkel from the bridge bc of shark, but you can snorkel if you pay 100$ per person for a trip in the local piano diving club (that is super unprofesional and unorganized btw) about 30 meaters away from the bridge, bc apperantly there is no shar here when you have a ticket. Also rooms are just disgusting, just like stuff and this entire hotel. NEVER go there. Waste of time and money.

I don't have anything nice to say about Stella beach or Stella gardens hotels. The food is terrible, both at the buffet and especially at the restaurants. We traveled with our 11months old son and got a children bed with nails sticking out several places and they could'nt see any reason to change it because of laziness. We had different rooms at both hotels during our stay due to them making several mistakes and the service was non existing. We had lizards and mice (plural) in our room and it took housekeeping 30 minutes to arrive! The hotel chain calls themselves "children friedly" but the music at the pool is so loud, eventhough we asked them kindly if it could be turned just a little down, so we had to leave the pool area for several hours every day because our sons ears hurted. In addition, it is not possible to chill and enjoy yourself at the pool because of salesmen from massage clinics, beauty saloons, fish spa, diving companies and safari trips contacting you constantly! Finally, we as a whole family of 5 have had diarrhea due to the low quality of their food for 2 whole weeks! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

Our trip started with an information that the hotel we we were supposed to go to cancelled our reservation and the travelling agency [TA] put us to this hotel (to Stella Beach). At first we weren’t very happy because the hotel gave us a bad room (it was pretty dark and the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, it just didn’t look like a 5* bathroom, more-so like a 3* one), but we went to the reception and with the help of the TA they changed out room to a much better one. As for the food, I can say it was pretty good and there was also a big selection to choose from. The whole resort (pools, bars, restaurants) was very pretty. The workers there were very kind and friendly. The animation team was great (as people, but also their programs were fun), they really made our stay at the hotel more enjoyable. The only thing that we really didn’t like there was the sea/beach, but I have to say that it is not the hotel’s fault, we didn’t like that we had to walk the pier to get inside the water (we prefer to have a direct enter to the water; just personal prefference), but on the other hand it’s great for people who love to explore the underwater world, because the water was clear and there were beatiful corals and fishes. Overall the stay was great and I am thankful for it.

Hotel is not a 4 star hotel and it was not all inclusive. The food was the same every day and all of us got food poison. Only powder juices are free, natural juices was an extra charge. On one of the evening the hotel closed the disco and had a foam party for an extra charge, we ended up having a massive discussion (unpleasant) with the reception, with the Security director until it escalated to the owner of he hotel and we ended up going to the foam party for free. As an all inclusive experience we where expecting a bit more for the money we payed.

It is a good place to snorkel. The food is not well. Quality of the food is bad. The food at the bar on the beach was very bad, and the staff here were not friendly. The staff at the food hall and reception were friendly Entertainment was good and nice. I have been at many resorts and places in the world. I would not go again to Stella beach resort / garden / spa

Check in was easy .. they offer upgrade to pool view room i stead of garden view .. they do not have tripple rooms and they put additional bed .. i accept it . Room was good view . We was shocked by the sea .. 200 m of rocks till you find a spot to swim you can walk it on rocks or on the platform they made .. this spot is always crowd full of people of the hotel and stella garden resort ..also challet owners also allowed to use the sea .. so if you hire a family challet with 1200 le / day you will use the same beach as the resort which you pay 7000 le/day.... food was repeated every day the same food except one or two dishes ... food was not good less than average and not well cooked . The big disaster was ants in the rooms when we complain at 1 am the told as that we reserved garden view and they can change the room .. this mean packing again to change one room and seperate the family we was shouting and they send the house keeper and pest control .. every day we was coplain the same problem .. but no solution .. Staff is trying to do their best but thats it .. thats what they have to offer . Animation team every day do the same program on beach and pool and at night without any change the same dances with the same music .. It is the first time i find that you will pay for activity .. all inclusive means nothing .. If you go there take a decision to enjoy and accept ants .. bad food .. repeated daily activity ..

I was at Stella Di Mare Makadi Beach at the end of july 2022 and I just need to share our experience at this 5 stars hotel wanna be. First of all it all, we get a horrible room, I can understand the furniture is a bit old, because it’s an old hotel, but I expected a decent and at least clean room. The bathroom are absolutely horrible, they are dirty and full of chalk, the housekeeper swipe the floor with a towel (in the room, even in the restaurants area, I mean they don’t even have some properly cleaning stuffs). I was asking for another clean room and I get another one but the cleaning was the same. Honestly The rooms looks like at a maximum 3 stars old Hotel, and when you tell them about the chalk they tell you they try the best but they can’t clean it (ok, you can’t clean it with water of course, but some anti chalk solutions ?? 🤦🏻‍♀️). Once I noticed that my dirty towel were not changed, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the first time when the housekeeper just folded the old dirty towels just to look nice. When I noticed that I was calling the reception and asked for new towels, I called for three times and I was waiting for 2 hours just for some clean towels.🤦🏻‍♀️ Another unpleasant experience is with the stuff and waiters, in the restaurant and on the beach, we were not approached by a waiter even once. They are asking just a few people for drink, and when I asked for something ( a fork once, and a drink) I was waiting for 20 minutes and nothing, they just act like they forgot every time. The stuff are really mean and rude, a lot of them doesn’t speak English and if you ask for something in English they look at you really mean and make you feel very uncomfortable. The food was really good, you don’t have a large selection but they are tasty. Some unpleasant think is that they don’t have early breakfast or late dinner, after 9:30 PM you can’t eat anything. Another horrible experience is with the beverage and alcohol, they are the most cheapest, have a fake taste, and they are absolutely the lowest quality beverage I have ever tasted. You get alcohol in some cheap plastic glasses, like seriously? In a 5 star hotel you get whiskey in plastic cup and that fake juice in cardboard cup? 🤦🏻‍♀️ Even the still water was horrible. They don’t have free wifi just in the lobby area, you need to pay for it and it’s not working properly. The pools are pretty good but if you want to get a spot at the pool and a beach lounger you have to came before 9 AM, because later all is full. In my opinion this hotel have a few good things, but most of them are disappointing, so I will definitely not recommend the staying at this place and I will never come back. I consider they have to do a lot of changes from the beverage quality, the stuff and how they treat guest, to a major Hotel and rooms renovation if they want to have a good hotel and if they care about guests experience.
