Summary: We visited Makadi Spa after one year again and I think it is again on the right track after two years of cut down service due to covid and lack of guests. Room: We stayed in the junior suite No. 6121. It is located on the left wing and the advantage is the direct access to the pool are since it was on the ground floor. Room was cleaned daily, mini bar was restocked daily and the amenities were abundant as well. I have seen some guests complain about a bit of rust or limescale problems which can be true to some extent, but I do not find it to be a big issue. Food and restaurants: Overall the selection and quality of food depended on the restaurant you ended up in. The buffet restaurant "The World" is great for breakfasts, although I have noticed a slight problem with lines forming and not enough glassware etc. During the dinner I would highly recommend booking one of the many À la carte restaurants because I found the food in buffets rather "hit or miss" with extremely tough rost beef and dry tasteless pasta or really good indian stew. Our favourite restaurant was Asian. The food was always excellent there. Other great spots would be Le Pasha (oriental), Parilla (steak) and to some extent also Mariscos (fish). Just be prepared that european and western cuisines are not what you might be used to. Thats why I highly recommend middle eastern and asian ones. Services: Majority of staff is always very friendly and helpful. I never remember any names but everyone in the pool bar, Vanilla bar or Americano bar was super nice. Reception staff was also very helpful when asked although I have noticed certain one individual who seemed uninterested. I am glad the salesmen no longer push their spa treatments etc. as much as they used to laast year. Having said that, the name of the hotel might be Makadi "Spa", do not come here expecting wide variety of spa facilities. Surroundings: As usual, the gardens are kept in pristine condition. One positive compared to last year is that the main infinity pool floor seems to have been repaired. Entertainment: I have noticed some people complaining there is no entertainment during the day or even evening time. To me it was no problem at all because it is one of the reasons I chose this hotel. I would recommend everyone deciding whether to stay here to find more about what this place offers before booking and avoiding such disappointments. Having said that, there was a music programm in the Vanilla bar terrace on the evenings where I have seen a few guests dance.

Room Tip: All the rooms are of a high standard, but those facing the pool area tend to have better views.

Don’t take any notice of the keyboard warriors. This hotel has only just reopened after the pandemic. It’s quite clear that they are working hard to get it back to pristine condition. The staff are amazing. Cannot do enough for us. Always smiling. Ahmed in the World restaurant. Mohamed Moustafa in Shimmers. To name a couple. Cannot do enough for you. The food plenty of choice. Fresh & tasty. Rooms cleaned daily. Fresh pool towels daily. Around the pool the guys there are brilliant. Even getting my glasses cleaned 😂. We thoroughly enjoyed a 2 week relaxation honeymoon. 1 tip. Don’t tip in sterling coins. The guys don’t have a facility to exchange coins. So either save it till the end of holiday or give paper money Laura & Baz xx

This was a adult only all inclusive hotel within a 4 hotel resort. It was possible to book for al-a-carte every night. The rooms were superb. The hotel was quite and relaxing but also gave the option of going to the other hotels. I paid extra for the spa. Wouldn’t recommend. The waiting room was full of Egyptian men that made it feel seedy the spa room was next door. Being short struggled to get on the couch and made to feel I should know what was to come. Not relaxing knowing the outside door could open any time However the staff at the eatery’s and bars always pleasant and friendly. Pools very cold but clean. Local drinks ok but a country of non drinkers to be fair.

My wife and I stayed for two weeks in May 2022. All hotel staff were very polite and helpful especially the restaurants and pool bars. Rooms are very large and clean, our room staff were very good. The hotel is an Egypt 5* but does need some maintenance on outside areas ( work was underway, I guess covid hasn't helped). We found all food very nice, but we are not fussy, you need to accept food will be different. There are many restaurants to choose from. The booking system could be improved to stop greedy guests booking multiple restaurants then not turning up. My only complaint is about ignorant smokers who think it's ok to smoke in non smoking areas and restaurant and bar areas. The hotel needs to support staff more in keeping these areas smoke free. Beach area is rocky not very sandy but the sea and snorkeling is fantastic. We will be booking this hotel again in 2023.

We stayed in Makadi Spa hotel for one week in May 2022. I have been in Hurgada 12-times in different hotels, but Makadi Spa is my favorite...The whole complex of 4 hotels (Spa, Palace,Grand and Grand Waterworld) is amazing, gardens and seaside areas are very beautiful. As the guest of Makadi Spa hotel, you can use all the bars and restaurants in whole complex of 4 hotels. All the stuff is very proffesional and friendly, mainly Belal, Hossam and Taha were very helpfull, we can say only big thanks for their care and hospitality during our stay. Also big thanks to Fawzy and Wageh from fish restaurant in Spa hotel, and Khalil Ibrahim from Grand Waterworld restaurant. Also big thanks to Tarek Emad for special care - I received a great birthday cake as a surprise... The rooms are very spacy and always clean, beds and matraces very comfortable...and amazing food in variety of restaurants. Definitely come back very soon, in August 2022...
