I agree with other reviewers that the rooms are very basic, with the only amenity being super rough towels, but if you have clear expectations, then it's not a problem. Bed was comfy but bring earplugs as this pension is on a busy street. The location is great (you can hop a bus to Papeete right next door), with an...

The rooms are all facing the pool, all looking very tropical. The rooms are basic, but clean and convenient. Parking on-site also was a plus. I enjoyed having one of the nicest public beaches right across the street.

We were here only 2 nights to see the island before flying to other islands. It was clean but very basic. Air conditioning was a plus, but lacked some amenities. Towels were rough, no hand towel or washcloth. It was on a busy street which you had to cross to get to the beach. There are nearby roulettes and a...

Really enjoyed and appreciated the air conditioning. Given the extremely high cost of electricity in French Polynesia, AC is usually limited to high end very expensive hotels/resorts. Great location, close to beaches, truck restaraunts, supermarket and, car rental. Owner drove us to local car rental. We enjoyed having the car for one of our two weeks at this pension. Clean...

On our way back home from long stays in Moorea and Huahine, this place was a good home base for exploring the city and the west side of the island. Close to Carrefour. Across the street from a nice public beach. Kids had fun in the pool. Kitchenette was a plus! The roulotte in the beach parking lot was probably...

We stayed at Pension de la Plage for just one night when we first flew into Tahiti, before taking a fairy over to Moorea. Somehow the online registration system we had used had made a mistake, and the owner was just expecting 3 of us instead of 5 (Myself, my husband and 3 kids). Although it was late, the owner...

On our way to Easter Island, my daughter and I got stuck in Tahiti due to a Air Tahiti pilot's strike. We ended up by chance at the 'Pension de la Plage' for a week in Heaven. The pension is absolutely lovely, the garden is paradisiac, the swimming pool is great for the children, the bungalows are very clean and...

Very well kept family pension, with swimming pool and helpfull staff. A nice beach is close by (across the road) and the main road (which is quite busy) gets you to the nearby Tamanu shopping centre, Punaaia, very quickly, but even Faa'a (airport) and Papeete are within reach. Do make sure you rent a car, as public transport is hard...

We (my wife and I) stayed for two weeks at Pension de la Plage. Pluses: great location (one of the best Tahiti beaches is just across the road, and in the morning you are practically alone there; a gas station minimarket around the corner provides fresh baguettes, mineral water, and basic food (eggs, cheese, sausage, drinks, etc.); a supermarket is...

I spent almost a week at Pension de la Plage and found it lives up to one´s expectation - I deliberately sought something cheaper than the Polyesian dream destinations as this was a working trip. Still the place is well worth your money, my room was impeccably clean, so was the pool, and the wi-fi was good and quote cheap....
