We stayed in the family suite for 4 nights - like having our own flat, clean, spacious and pleasantly though sparsely furnished with 2 balconies looking out on a lovely garden. It's just outside of the town but so quiet you forget the town is there. Chrissie and her husband were absent but the staff were very friendly and helpful....

We stayed here for three nights as part of a birdwatching trip. Chrissie and her husband Adil were fantastically accomodating people. Kindness itself. Nothing was too much trouble. Large clean comfortable rooms with wonderful views. The only downside here was the restaurant. It was a lovely place to sit on the rooftop to enjoy a meal, but the unsmiling male...

We stayed here for 2 nights in January 2012. We received a very friendly welcome and were given room 12, a large spacious room which was very clean and comfortable but does not get the sun so it seemed pretty cold. The room was sparsely furnished with just shelves to put clothes on but for a couple of nights adequate....

we stayed at Chrissies in december 2011. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and had a balcony so you could sit out and listen to the noise of the jungle around you. very relaxing place. You can't leave windows open as the monkeys raid your room !!

Chrissie's is a very comfortable, clean and affordable hotel. We had a 3rd floor room which had great views (we saw more wildlife from our balcony than we did in the reserve!). The room was large and simply furnished. There was no A/C but that wasnt an issue for us. The free wifi in the common area was a nice...

This hotel has a fantastic atmosphere. The owners and reception staff could not be more helpful. They had excellent suggestions for local restaurants and activities. Chrissie organised a day of bamboo rafting for us before we even arrived and the reception staff arranged rickshaws to take us to the nearby spice plantation, tea factory, and finally to the bus station...

We stayed for two nights on our recent holiday to India. We would thoroughly recommend it. We received a lovely warm welcome and the staff we were very friendly. The room was a good size and very clean. I was not well whilst staying here and Chrissie and her husband could not have been more helpful and caring. Did not...

This is a really top hotel and great value for money. We loved the cafe that is part of the complex and having WiFi available free in a comfortable space was also really appreciated. The rooms are immaculately clean and the service could not be faulted.

My title means a LOT when you are traveling in India, especially Kerala - even at the most highly promoted tourist spots! Why? Because it is next to impossible to find all of this packaged together at a hotel unless you are willing to shell out mega $$$. Granted you have to climb a few steps to get to your...

Chrissie' is the best budget hotel in Thekaddy. The other places are exorbitant or too shabby. Rooms were cosy and good value for money. There were extra thick blankets to keep you warm in the cool mountain nights. I would have mind staying there a few more days. Chrissie, the owner, was really thoughtful. I got my booking mixed up...
