This place is behind the Tibetan Market and so off the main drag but close enough to walk in 5 minutes. The owner - a Belgium woman is lovely, helpful, and very informative. She runs the place with her cute son Thomas. It's really clean,...More
We stayed here for two night, which was simply just perfect. The place was just a short walk to the restaurants and beach. We could easily had stayed here longer than we did. Can really recommend this cosy place.
Beautiful and perfect place for a stay in Varkala. The room was comfortable, clean and lovingly furnished. The location was also very good, quiet and next to the beach, about maximum 2 minutes to walk.

Varkala is a holy place in Kerala with many temples and a famous ashram so if you come during a festival Varkala is busy and might be to noisy for you. The very peak festival time is in February so you should avoid that time. However, the first temple is minimum 500 meters away from Mango Villa. We do have an ashram opposite of our house with chanting in the morning from 6 to 7 am and from 8 to 9pm. The rest of the day they practice yoga. In my opinion it is not too disturbing and even add a flavour of India in the atmosphere of Mango Villa. Since 5 years, only a hand few guests did complain about that. But if you want to make sure not to be disturbed by the holy chants it is better to take a room with air conditioning. Kind regards. Vinciane
