I was there for a 'Self Hypnosis Course' for 8 days. Initially i was staying 15 mins away from the Osho ashram complex but within a day I felt that by staying outside I was missing out on the entire Osho experience & I impulsively checked into the meditation resort. In May the cost was approximately Rs 3500 per day...

Dear Friend, Thank you for sharing. We are pleased to hear that your time at the meditation resort was energizing and that you as a woman traveling solo felt supported by the safe environment. We look forward to seeing you again! Warm regards,

First of all, I have read many reviews on here and was really wondering what the place would be like after reading the somewhat mixed reviews. I have nearly 100 of Osho's books, listen to his radio, and watch his talks and would like to think I have a decent understanding of what Osho is/was about. I can say that...

Osho commune is less about meditation and more about confusion, rituals, fun and commercialization. Orientation in the 'welcome morning', that starts at 9 every day for newcomers stretches to four hours where repetition keeps occurring going nowhere . A video and lectures keep hammering the need and importance of hygiene. I must say it was a third class orientation in the...

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand that the OSHO International Meditation Resort was a shock to the mind if you expect it to be an ashram. The OSHO International Meditation Resort is intentionally not an ashram. The combination of “meditation” and “resort” reflects a very different approach: the synthesis of “Buddha” and “Zorba”, expressed by the allegorical character...

Osho international resort is definitely a place one should visit. It is very convenient to stay inside the resort, the rooms are nice and clean, and the Indian staff at the guest house are extremely friendly and attentive. Always smiling and ready to help. In general, all of the Indian employees had a great attitude and were very service oriented....

You can meditate from 6am in the morning to 11pm and figure out what meditation technique suits you best. Time seems to fly. A precious place and experiences you will never forget. I visit the OIMR every winter and I can't get enough.

Positive: the place is incredible and food is great Negative: the registration process is a nightmare, a lot of bureaucracy. We spend 4 hours before we could join any meditation, it was ridiculous. Once we finally got into the first meditation, there is not guidance at all. We were expecting to learn the basics about meditations but we did not...

Dear Ele, Thank you for your input and of course we are also disappointed that you were disappointed. Registration for a first time guest would be no more than 15 to 20 minutes unless many people suddenly arrive at the same time. We do our best to process everyone as quickly as possible. We do advise first time people to...

I spent 2 days at Osho Meditation Resort and my experience is as follows: Day 1: I arrive 9am at the welcome centre with no expectations and decide to accept whatever I experience without prior judgements. Dear Harish, Thank you for your detailed review of your visit to the OSHO Meditation Resort. In order not to misinform other potential visitors, I must take this opportunity to address some of the points you are making. Firstly, the idea that “we are not letting in nationals” is of course absurd. As you must have noticed at least 50%...

It needs a prior booking else they dont even allow to peek inside. From the looks of it, foreigners get preferential treatment as against Indian visiting this place. Basically one who can donate well will be respected.

Dear Anisha, A booking prior to arrival is needed only during busy times like around New Year and our Monsoon festival in August and always advisable if one wants accommodation on campus. At other times we welcome and register all people who want to participate in the meditations.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A beautiful campus situated in the pleasant residential area of Koregaon Park, Pune, some fifteen minutes by air from Mumbai (formerly Bombay). This lush contemporary 28-acre campus is a tropical oasis where nature and the 21st Century blend seamlessly, both within and without. With its white marble pathways, elegant black buildings, abundant foliage and Olympic-sized swimming pool, it is the perfect setting to take time out for yourself. This is a place where you can simply relax and where you can also enjoy the company of visitors of all ages from over 100 countries. You can choose if you want to do something, or if you just want to rest, swim, meditate — or just to be.You can learn simple Osho Active Meditations, techniques specifically designed for the contemporary over-charged mind and stress-impacted body. You may like to nourish your body-mind-soul with a stunning selection of individual sessions, like bodywork and massage, and longer workshops and courses — all designed to help you become more aware of yourself.Or perhaps experiment by learning new life skills and acquiring tools to take home, that will help you remain relaxed even in the busiest of workaday environments. The key to relaxation is awareness, being a keen observer of all that is going on both inside and around us — this is the inner science, often also called meditation. And while we each walk this walk alone, it is more supportive and more fun to share the process with others, whether during the various daytime activities, or in the evening — trying out a new meditation technique, or enjoying an evening a party, dancing, or the plaza café, watching or participating in live theater events or just going to the movies.Above all this is a unique environment created through the awareness, humor, and celebration that each of us brings to the table. ... more   less
