Hotel located in former Raj palace. Very stylish exterior, nicely decorated corridors. Rooms of average quality, quite big, but AC quite loud and located in such a way that blows directly to your bed. Bathrom well equipped (shower). The food in a hotel restaurant was not impressive at all.

It really is a beautiful palace, views to the city from the roof. Rooms a little behind the times and the breakfast very average but the perfect place to stay in Jaisalmer which is a lovely city. The service was good and they were very keen to accommodate anything. Exploring from the hotel's location is easy.

Arriving with a car and driver, we had actually looked at several other hotels before coming to Mandir palace, but the rooms, the friendlyness of the staff and most of all the spectacular building itself were far superior to the others (which demanded comparable room rates). The very helpful and friendly manager, Mr. Singh, patiently showed us three diffent rooms...

We spent 3 nights at this little gem. Tucked in a bustling neighborhood just 2 minutes from the fort, the Mandir Palace is a pocket of calm and quiet. And the customer service is on par with any 5 star hotel. After taking the night bus from Bikaner, my partner and I were ready for a nice soft bed, but...

One of the best heritage hotels in Jodhpur .. Parts of the hotel are 200 years old. The rooms are average and a little dated but the grounds make it worth staying there. The staff is very helpful. The location is perfect if you want to be inside the old city and near the fort

Jaisalemer is an exotic fairy town of Rajasthan without a doubt but unfortunately it is kept in a very bad shape. The entire town is littered with rubbish and the cow’s dropping all over makes it worst. We stayed at Mandir Palace which is the residence of the current Maharajah.. Built with sandstone, it gives a spectacular feel at night...

We went there in first week of June and although people warned us of summer , we were blessed with cloudy skies and pleasant weather. Our original choice of hotel was Suryagarh in the desert however due to off season it was under renovation. Looking at reviews on booked Welcome Heritage Mandir Palace - Surya Mahal Suite. The hotel as...

This was the best hotel we stayed in Rajasthan! Absolutely amazing to stay in a real palace that has been converted to a hotel! Clean, really nice sized rooms and amazing ambiance. The staff was friendly, and helpful. The breakfasts were meager and very basic, could definitely update on that. Good location, and walking distance to the fort.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A two centuries old palace converted into a hotel, WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace offers a concoction of medieval charm with the modern amenities. The main portion of the two centuries old Palace was built during the reign of the late Maharawal Jawahir Singh. This palace is testimony to the history of Jaisalmer with different portions of the palace being built by different rulers of Jaisalmer till as late as the beginning of the twentieth century. ‘Badal Vilas’, a unique tower like structure at Mandir Palace is the tallest structure in town below the hill-top city fort, reminding us of the incredible historical relevance attached to both the palace as well as the city of Jaisalmer. ... more   less
