My fiancée and I were both sick during our stay but we still had a lovely time because the family who run it are all very helpful and also their English is really good. The attached charity enterprise in support of empowering women is excellent. The charity is apparent but not 'in your face' so to speak. The rooms were...

Govind welcomed us personally although we only booked for one night and arrived around midnight. The place is beautiful and spotless. Located near the main train station but also near a park in a quiet area. Service is pleasant and professional. More importantly you will meet volunteers from around the world who are giving of their time in support of...

India is one of those destinations were, when you're open, you can connect and meet the most incredible people. As a single LGBT traveler this haveli was pure magic. Govind opened his stunning home and unconditionally showcased life in the Blue City. My room overlooked the courtyard where traditions, cooking classes and a lineage of incredible conversation was shared. I...

We had three days at govinds guest house. It really is a special place. Not just because the rooms are lovely and the food very good but also because we became part of a group pushing for positive social change within the community. It is slightly away from Jogpur but we enjoyed that because it gave us less noise and...

Govind was perhaps the most charming host we've encountered in years of travel. In addition to his wonderful demeanour, he did everything he could to make our stay more enjoyable including sightseeing and restaurant recommendations and even giving me the shawl off his back on a chilly morning. He has also begun an organization to assist underserve women in rural...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This household has always been welcoming guests and enjoying giving others hospitality for many years. We remember when we were very young boys our Grandpa hosted many parties of all the important local family including the Army, Police, Politicians and Royalty. We remember walking down the road being welcomed by the sound of laughter and music and we knew Grandpa was having another one of his parties! We have carried on this tradition ever since by welcoming guests and hoping that they experience some of the culture and traditions that happen throughout the year in an old traditional house including Diwali - festival of lights -, Holi - festival of colours - and many other celebrations. A Rajput family run home stay, simple, clean room with many windows for fresh air and natural light. Private bathroom with 24 hour hot shower. Home cooked delicious meals available. Cooking demonstration available on request, complimentary pick up service, drinking water (R.O.) and WiFi complimentary. Very green neighbourhood and centrally located. 24 hours our family is available to assist you; you can use our common refrigerator, washing machine, kitchen, a doctor is available on call. ... more   less
