Jagat Niwas might be "the" place to stay in Udaipur; I prefer it even over Leela in Udaipur (Leela, needless to say, is absolutely fabulous, but since the property isn't an old palace, lacks that Rajasthani haveli feeling). Jagat Niwas rooms are clean and extremely cute with rajasthani furnishings; the haveli itself is beautiful; and the restaurant offers wonderful spots...

We went there to celebrate the valentine day weekend and absolutely loved the property and the view. The staff was friendly and courteous. We had lunch and dinner in the lake facing view of the restaurant. The room although small had a separate dressing area. The property itself is a bit expensive from the other hotels in the area and...

The reservation was done using an online portal. To double confirm the reservation I called twice at the reservation desk but both times the person taking the call was unable to provide the required information (person who had access to emails was not available). The hotel is located in a tight alley, usual in old parts of most Indian towns...

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful including the travel agent. As a lone female I appreciated the night guard and lockeded gate. The views are stunning and the location is perfect. Nice decor and architecture of the hotel. The only downside is that the wireless internet didn't work which was disappointing. Recommended.

Beautiful white washed courtyards full of brightly coloured flowers with fantastic roof terrace overlooking the lake. Perfecto to while away an afternoon with a cold beer in hand after exploring the busy streets, temples & spice market of udaipur.

The best past was definitely the amazing view from the rooftop. I couldn't think of a better location. It was just a five minute walk to the City Palace and the views of Lake Pichola were amazing. I don't think there was any need to stay in a lakeside room because there were plenty of sitting areas with views right...

We stayed here a week ago & had a suite overlooking Lake Pichola. The suite was huge - two enormous single beds - v comfortable. The shower room was also v big and there was an enormous bay window with seating platform & scatter cushions overlooking the lake & the Lake Palace. I can't fault the room with it's stunning...

Very good hotel, room excellent, staff very good and location perfect. We ate Dinner at restaurant both nights, food was very good. Breakfast was set menu but for extra you could get a very good espresso. Wifi was good in our room. The only negative thing for us was having put a generous tip in box as sign requested at...

This hotel has an open sky restaurant, and below this, another floor with chairs/tables, as well as cushioned booths, just like the rajas used. At night, with candles flickering, and a view if the whole lake, its magic. I opted to stay in a non-lake view room (cheaper) but spent many enjoyable hours perched in a booth, reading, sipping chai,...

We stayed here for the first three nights of our three week holiday to India and it was a perfect introduction. We had a lake view room and the view across the lake in the evening when we first arrived was breath-taking. The room had all the facilities you would need and the restaurant had amazing views and the food...
