Stayed in Agra at Hotel Sheela for Holi. The courtyard and restaurant were a fantastic oasis from the chaos of Agra. With that said, the hotel staff was apathetic towards its guests. The rooms were poor at best. Our sheets and pillows were dirty, the walls had the plaster ripped off, and the bathroom was questionable. However, for 10USD a...

Hotel is located in a quiet part of Agra, very close to the East Gate. The garden is a very nice place to have your breakfast or dinner. Room was very basic and during our stay we had only cold water.

Being in the auto-free zone is a plus b/c you don't have the congestion outside the hotel. Sheela is a stone's throw from the east gate of the Taj Mahal and sports a beautiful garden courtyard and tasty restaurant. This is a great place to relax and meet fellow travelers. The room was small, simple, but clean. Bring your mosquito...

We stayed at the Sheela and were worried because we had read mixed reviews. Overall we found the hotel to be very clean, the garden is a wonderful oasis and the rooms were fine. We had hot water showers both morning and night. The location is right beside the east gate and walking distance. The resertaunt is okay, the food...

Right next to east gate of Taj Mahal, great location considering the attraction of Agra as city itself. Very nice terrace to have something to eat / drink and talk. Good food for dinner and breakfast. Rooms were cold, but had good sleep. A bit tiny rooms, bathroom wasn´t the cleanest. Good: convenient and price.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sheela. The staff were helpful and the rooms are a good size and clean. It's not quite in the centre of the action, but it benefits from a lovely garden setting that makes up for this. The on-site restaurant does good food, although it is a bit more expensive than the local restuarants,...

This place is great value. It is literally a 30 second walk to the Taj Mahal East Gate and everything is on its doorstep. Saying this, it has managed to achieve a quiet atmosphere with gardens all around. It also has a great, cheap restaurant which costs the same to eat at as a restaurant outside. The rooms are clean...

It was wonderful to walk intot he peaceful garden here, 100metres from the Taj Mahal and an oasis from the dusty noisy Taj Ganj area. It is just what you need in Agra, just inside the vehicle exclusion zone so quiet! The owner is great, and keeps it simple. The rooms are quite basic, but so is the prcie so...

I stayed just one night in this hotel but it was a pleasant stay! First of all the hotel is located just 2 minutes walking far from Taj Mahal and i’m sure this is the closest place to the wonderful monument! The area around is very quite as it is forbidden to enter in by car for preserving the Taj...

My friend and I arrived from Delhi and we were very tired. I had booked this hotel weeks before and I had also received a confirmation for our room. But when we arrived there at 12 in the afternoon we were told that they had no room for us, that the confirmation didn't mean anything blablabla. We had to wait...
