Another trip to Bali has just ended. We stayed at the Gazebo Beach Hotel in Sanur. If you don't want a highrise western style hotel this is where to stay.True balinese style(isn't that why you go to Bali)

One of the few hotels right on the beach that isn't one of the multi storey more Western-style hotels. It's retained its Balinese characters by offering some "Joglo" Javanese little cottages in lush gardens and other more traditional-style rooms. You know you're in Bali when...More
We went here for a quick lunch. Can't recommend it. It takes 45 minutes to make two mediocre salads (and the restaurant was a long way from busy). You then enjoy the privilege of asking 3 times for your bill.

We have stayed in a family room at this hotel. It was two separate bedrooms with a bathroom each and a large fridge. This hotel is dated and the rooms are looking very tired especially the bathrooms however, the pools are lovely and the location on Sanur is fantastic. The breakfast is mainly Indonesian food and as we were there out of season ( January ) the selection was limited. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and this is one of the cheapest 3 star hotels in this area.
I am sure they would but they would charge triple the true cost. There is a taxi counter in the airport where you arrange a fixed price taxi, it is currently $15 to Sanur day or night. Just follow the signs go "taxi counter... More
I am sure they would but they would charge triple the true cost. There is a taxi counter in the airport where you arrange a fixed price taxi, it is currently $15 to Sanur day or night. Just follow the signs go "taxi counter" in the airport, ignore anybody offering you a taxi, at the counter they will give you a paper slip and directed to a driver, it's easy.
