Stayed there 5 nights with little kids. There is a good garden where kids can run around. Staff and owners were really friendly and welcoming. The accommodation itself is really old and outdated. There is also a pool but infortunately it hasn't been taken care of. There were insects everywhere but what can you expect being in the middle of... More

Surrounded by a beautiful garden are the Han Snel Siti bungalows. Wifi didn't always work. The whole place is in desperate need of a renovation. There is definitely a glance of the old glory visible, but the rooms are falling apart and it's not very clean. Staff is friendly and the restaurant (not part of the bungalows) is very good... More

Hans Snel Siti Bungalows, Jalan Kajeng, Ubud, Bali The is a budget hotel owned by the Balinese widow of Hans Snel, the Dutch painter, with scattered bungalows overlooking the ravine and just upstream of the famous Cafe Lotus. At the end of a lane on the northern edge of the town, all the noise is left behind and the lush... More

Room was really shabby (but the view was amazing). No water in my room, I arrived very late at night, dehydrated and was told I would need to go find the 24 shop, they had no water for me...wouldn't even sell me some. Ketut the manager tried to rip me off for an extra $100 on my bill. I came... More

We booked 3 nights through Booking.com, just at day before our arrival. We read positive comments regarding the garden and although we do not care about luxury while backpacking, we do appreciate if there is a pool for some refreshing in the late afternoon. We arrived around 7.15pm and a friendly old man offered the key and showed us our... More

On basis of their website and booking.com we booked a room with ac. However despite the garden and the nice exterior and good views, the stay was not nice. At the start we encountered a dishonest staff. We booked an ac-room but when we arrived it was already given away- at 14:00! So a mistake but the guy at the... More

We walked in off the street and were able to stay in the twin bungalow (nr.6) for 3 nights at 250.000Rp. There are 8 bungalows in total, scattered thru the most magnificent tropical garden. All bungalows are different, but all have a lovely private terrace with day bed and table/2 chairs. The rooms get cleaned (superficially) on a daily basis,... More

Stayed for 5 nights and loved it. Quiet and peaceful. My room had no tv or phone but if it's luxury you are after you wouldn't be here. For the price I couldn't beat it. In other countries the price would get you a dorm bed in a hostel, but I had an ensuite, private terrace overlooking the ravine and... More

A wonderful place for our final night in Bali. At $35 dollars a night, air con, hot water, ensuite,TV (which we did not use but great if needed) tasty cooked breakfast for two, stunning gardens, verandah overlooking a stunning river ravine, great restaurant next door and privacy, we wish we'd found it earlier. Sure, the rooms are a little jaded,... More
