I want to start with the positives for this hotel: 1. They let us have a super late check out which was amazing! Made our trip home so much smoother. 2. The location is quite good. Really close to yoga and healthy food options, not overly close to monkey Forrest road so it depends what you are after. 3. The... More

It is a little walk (10-15 mins) to the centre on a road without a pavement but it is still well located. It is in a gorgeous setting surrounded by tall trees and well-maintained gardens. We had a room with a private pool that was a treat especially as the main pool was also lovely. When we arrived our private... More

This place is a quiet retreat away from it all but still close enough to walk to everything in Ubud (the Palace, market, Monkey Forest). The room we had was really large and had a huge balcony. It was a great place to sit and enjoy the peaceful setting. There are only a few cottages so it always felt like... More

We booked via the internet before going to Ubud, and the a family of five, booked two superior rooms @aud$860 for 5 nights. Having visited Bali and Ubud quite a bit, we were disappointed in what was offered for the price. One of the rooms was dark and musty smelling, the mini bars were very limited and inconsistent in offerings,... More

Our family of 1 adult and 2 children enjoyed these cottages. Just a handful, set back from the road made for a more peaceful experience. Rooms were clean, beautifully but simply decorated in a balinese style, and the balcony was perfect for enjoying breakfast each morning. We were spoilt with 2 pools, 1 suitable for smaller children, and another for... More

We love UBUD and this was a lovely final stop in central UBUD. When I arrived they all knew our names, had all my emails printed out and nothing was too much trouble. Although only there for one night, it was delightful and the staff were professional and so friendly. You would never know you are in a hotel as... More

We love Alas Petulu. We were a little disappointed that the room we had reserved was not available when we arrived, and it meant having to move again the next day. Other than this, the gardens, pool and environment is just wonderful. The new cafe nearby, Fussy Bird, is a great healthy option that allows for meals (the accommodation does... More

We stayed here upon arrival to Bali and it was the perfect place to get acclimated. We stayed in the family villa--our two children stayed downstairs and my husband and I had the upstairs room. Air conditioning and wifi worked great. The pool was sparkling clean. They served breakfast to us on our outdoor terrace. The staff were friendly and... More
