The Samara is the ultimate in luxury, from the location, accomodation and attentive staff. Situated 5 mins out of Ubud central, this place has the best of both luxury, whilst being able to walk amongst the villagers working in the rice fields. Extremely friendly locals, without the pushy sales. The people in this area are not sellers, simply going about their day in a way that is fascinating for adults and children to witness. The food, both included breakfast and (additional purchase) lunch / dinner is well prepared and delicious. The serves are generous, you will not go hungry. The Host, an Italian, grows tomatoes, eggplant and beautiful basil... right next to the villa. From garden to plate, delicious. The additional free motorbike service and hotel mobile phone…
We stayed here for 4 nights they kindly arranged transport from airport for us and tours such as mount batur and full day tour of Ubud via driver which was well worth it. Staff are more than happy to assist in any requests we may have had. They also serve a good breakfast too which was included with the room. At check in they gave us a phone which is a really nice touch. As cars can only go so far up towards the samara there is a meeting point at bottom of hill which they will drop and pick you up at any time day or night. However its an fairly leisurely stroll 10 mins max but is on a hill. We rang them at half 11 one night and they collected us at a meeting point. Staff is best part of this accomdation its a quiet location which suited us. Yet still close to Ubud market/…
This is our second visit to the resort in consecutive year. That itself reflects how much we love the stat here. This time it was 5 nights in the resort and it was a great experience again. The resort has been maintaining highest standards of customer Delight. They will do everything in order to make sure that you return happy with pleasant memories. The owner- Stephano is a wonderful human being. My 4 year old got so attached that he had tears leaving the hotel this time :) 5 stars for every service that is offered - Room service, Restaurant, Breakfast, Pick up and Drop , Personal tours and Room.
Stayed at The Samara with family of 4. Great villa, food, awesome staff and surrounding rice fields and views fantastic. My girls loved the motorbike transport into and out of Ubud as well. Definitely would stay again.
Wow this place is amazing, walking distance back to the main street (Ubud Palace) (~15 min. easy stroll). Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money, smallish establishment tucked away in a quiet area, but perfect. Breakfast is made to order and is always fresh. We did not have dinner in the villa restaurant, but i am sure the meals will be delicious. Big and spacious room, outdoor shower, pool was just outside our room. First time ever on a scooter - from the drop off point to the villa, but the scooter drivers are very safe and you get used to the ride - its a memory on its own. We arranged for a packed lunch for 2am and scooter ride to the main parking - fantastic service. Will definitely be back and highly recommend. If you want to visit all the…
We liked everything with the Samara Villas. Rooms, restaurant, pool, surroundings, everything adds up to a great stay. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home and to have the best stay in Ubud. The Samara restaurant serves both Italian and Balinese dishes; the food is great and price correct. The Samara Villas are not "downtown" Ubud but about a 20m walk. If you prefer not to walk the hotel promptly provides you scooter rides to and from the city center. You'll be given a mobile phone to allow direct contact with the hotel staff at any time!
My friend and I went on a cycle tour with bali road bikes (which was fantastic!!! And i highly recommend!) We stayed here and the beginning and the end. The first night we stayed in the "basic" rooms which are lovely and luxurious in themselves. Beautifully kept, clean, by the pool. Welcome cocktails. Good free wifi and a delightful happy hours. When we finished our bike tour we got upgraded to a villa....which was a new type of luxury! Massive rooms with a private pool. A rooftop area to relax and have a drink at! They also found out my friend and I had the same birthday (part of the reason we were on holiday) and the staff came in with delicious cake and sang happy birthday. It was such a pleasant experience The breakfast was lovely, the curry in the evening was the…
Our first stay here. What a lovely location. Access to villa is by scooter or walking. Only 20 minutes to down town ubud. . The small villas shared a pool overlooking rice padies. Their were also bigger villas available for families.I loved seeing the ducks each day. So beautifull And peacfull yet not far from great restaurants etc. The rooms were very comfortable. Great pillows and spotless. Breakfast was fantastic.indonesian and western choices were all delicious. ! The staff were very helpfull. A standout was Agusti house keeping and transport scooter man.and manhau reservation officer. The street leading to villa was limited to cars so very quiet. The road was all paved with autographed pavers from tourists and local restsurants in the area. Great idea . Only costs 300000…
