I'm not used to writing TA reviews but I owe it to the lovely people of Samara to do this before my memory starts to fade! After a lot of research on where to stay in Ubud, I finally decided on the The Samara, and I am so glad I did. My boyfriend and I visited Bali for the first...

Beautiful location and great service. The rooms were nice and cozy. We stayed in Room # 6. One small grouse was that the toilet and the shower area sometimes had a very weird stink - not quite sure how and why, but it was noticeable and unpleasant. On the flip side, service was exceptional and the breakfast was sumptuous. Rusma...

Absolutely loved it! This place is just perfect. We stayed at the beautifull villa n°6 for 3 nights. Breakfasts are really good with a nice balinese touch. The lady serving the breakfast is just too nice and she adds a personal touch on top! Location is perfect! Almost hard to believe to be so close to the crowdy Ubud center...

I had the best honeymoon ever, very peaceful green small compound with little cute clean villas. I liked the place so much, away from pollution and traffic. Its about 600m. off the main road into the green fields. Perfect for relaxation and nature enjoyment.

We loved our stay here. We were picked up on the airport and about after one hour drive we arrived. You can not reach the hotel by car so the last part is done by scooter. The bungalows are wonderful situated in the middle of the rice fields. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The bungalow is wonderful. Very...

we really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the samara - it is a small boutique hotel with great attention for the customers and a beautiful location 15 minutes from ubud... the rooms are nice and elegant. there is a great attention for details.. the only comment is that the nespresso is charged. it would have been in line with...

We stayed four nights here and were so sad to leave, not because of the town but because the Samara Villas were a little oasis in what has become the very crowded, cynical tourist machine that is Ubud. From the moment Rai picked us up from the airport for the 80 minute transfer we knew the service at the hotel...

The moment we were being ridden to the villas via mopeds up into the rice fields we knew we were onto something special. What a gorgeous setting amongst the rice fields, only 6 villas with a pool out front, rice paddy workers and a handful of ducks is all you see and hear (magic). The staff are excellent and cater...
