We requested the 1 Jatayu Deluxe which wasn't available for the full stay though they offered to split the stay between this room and the Merpati. Both were excellent. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic, service and helpfulness of the staff is exactly as we discovered with the wonderful Balinese people. The AC is not up to the American standards of...

I have stayed at a few of the hotels in this group . Alam Jiwa is my favourite. The gardens are just so beautiful. The rooms are getting slightly tired and things like the water pressure could be improved. But they don't matter with such a nice view. I have given the hotel a 4 rating this time as I...

Today we are very sad as our stay at Alam Jiwa has come to an end. We are a family of five and have been to Bali many times before but Alam Jiwa has definitely been our best pick, better than any 5 star hotel we've ever stayed at - it has totally exceeded our expectations. We stayed at the...

Just loved our week at Alam Jiwa. The staff were fabulous - so friendly, and really helpful and all really nice people. The place itself was a feast for the senses. The villas were beautifully laid out amongst lush tropical gardens, with lily ponds, flowering lotuses and quirky little statues. We' d fall asleep to the sound of geckos chirping...

If you want a traditional taste of Bali, the Bali of your dreams, stay at Alam Jiwa. We felt incredibly welcomed. The setting is tropical, overlooking the rice fields with a stream rushing below. The architecture, the statues adorned with fresh flowers, and the aqua blue pool, were perfect. But the staff is so helpful, comforting, and attentive, that we...

Bali.... Oh Bali.... It is still the most beautiful place on earth. Now we are away from built-up Seminyak, with its new Chinese brutalist architecture, we are back where we belong. This is My Adopted Village. Nyuh Kuning, a short walk from Ubud, where I look at houses to rent with longing, and where I feel absolutely at one with...

My wife and I spent 11 nights at Alam Jiwa in the Casuary room overlooking the rice fields. One cannot say enough positive things about the hotel. The staff, in particular Nik and Ayu, were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that we had a pleasant stay, even providing head scarves and tops...

Small boutique hotel with about a dozen rooms. Staff are extremely attentive and great with kids. Great views over the rice fields. Free transport around town or a 15 minute walk through the monkey forest. The spa attached to the hotel is an absolute treat. This was our 3rd visit in four years and we will be back.

We stayed three nights at Alam Jiwa in the Hanoman room. Our stay here exceeded our expectations on so many levels. The warmth and hospitality of the staff especially Ayu who we enjoyed chatting with everyday. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious and full of Balinese character, large bathroom and lovely...

We are currently staying at the Alam Jiwa but unfortunately to day is our last day. We have stayed for eight nights and enjoyed every one of them. The hotel is a very pretty and charming place with an eye for customer care and comfort. The staff are what make the Alam Jiwa so special, they care about what they...
