We stayed here before heading to Mount Semeru climb. Don't judge this hostel from the outside (entrance). The hostel very clean and i like the garden as well as dining place (open place like pondok). The food is delicious especially pisang goreng (fried banana).

We only stopped here for lunch after a trek on Mount Bromo and the food was the best we had eaten during our holiday. The grilled fish and, chicken dishes were superb and the choice and quantity at lunch was very generous, tasty and good value for money.

The room is basic, but its very cozy, very clean, and I love the ambiance. its peaceful here, its closed to Mt. Bromo. for Budget class, don't feel doubt this is the suitable place. The location to go visit Mt Bromo is great. The staff is really friendly and helpful the whole time. The breakfast is great, lots of good food. We even had lunch and dinner in there, very cheap (around 50.000 IDR each) with lots of good local food. They also offer the tours to Mt Bromo and so on and the...

This location was perfect for a base for excursions in the local countryside. You can book it all through the home stay and they provide it at reasonable prices (1 million rupiah around 50 pounds for a jeep for 4 people). They also provide a breakfast buffet which is authentic and really filling. You can also get a dinner buffet...

The people are very friendly and they will help you to plan your tour to Bromo. Providing you with a private Jeep and driver....

Best way to go to Rani Homestay from eastern Java is to go by train from Yogyakarta / Surabaya etc. by 1st class. It's very comfortable! When you get out of the train station, take a taxi - it's worth of the money! If you are more adventurous, you can take the white minivans and change it for 2 or...

Make sure bromo is your destination and rani will be the most perfect place to stay. They'll arrange bromo tour using 4wd jeep for Rp900k (July 2015) & Rp320k for the room. They also provide tour to semeru mountain for reasonable price for 3d2n trip. Along the route from rani to bromo you'll see amazing scenery because rani is located...

Since we didn't want to go the way all tourist go ,we booked an arrangement via Rani homestay. The tour was very well organized we took a scenic route and arrived at Mt Bromo when the crowds were gone . The rooms at Rani are basic but very clean, and the only disturbing thing was the early wake up by...

we travel with another couple through Java and decided to stay one night here based on positive recommendations on this site. We were disappointed as the location of the hotel gave us only 1 hour advantage for Bromo compared to Malang! There was nothing to do or to see near the hotel and the facilities were very modest. The garden...
